Aries (March 20-April 19) — Your ruling planet Mars has finally moved to a zone of your solar chart where you can get things done. You don’t have to plan; you can slough off your usual insecurity. Now is the time to take up the work for its own sake. What work? The thing you know needs to happen, because it needs to happen. This may coincide with the thing you want to do the most. We all know that the digital world has become a kind of slave shop of endless upgrades, revisions, paperwork. It now takes ten separate communications to set up a lunch date whereas before it took one phone call. None of that is going to change any time soon. Squelch the noise and push the busywork out of the way. There is something that needs to happen and you are the one to do it.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You are in some kind of edgy situation, and that is not your preference. Usually you want to be far from the edge and take no needless risks. However, Uranus, the Lord of Unpredictability, is lingering around the last degree of your sign. This describes you on the cusp of changes that you may not understand or feel are too daunting to confront. And with the last degree involved, it has the feeling of being out of control. This calls for special handling. Now, mitigating that situation is Venus right at the center of Taurus, and Jupiter in Cancer. This argues for an underlying condition of stability, and suggests you have less to worry about than you may think. So stop worrying and focus on the changes you want to make. Please review the past seven years of your life carefully; this is a phase that is now ending, and you want to end it well. A lot has happened. Know what it was.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Jupiter is now in your 2nd house of resources and available cash; you are a magnet for success. Keep the energy flowing. And remember that while money can solve most worldly problems, it’s not the first ingredient necessary. The more resourceful you are, the less of the stuff you will need. This translates to knowing your inventory of people, things, and ideas, and running down the list before you spend money. Intelligence is the most underrated commodity, especially in our current version of the world where everyone knows everything (and it turns out that nobody knows anything). But you do know something, and you know how to think when you want to. So, use your intelligence and use it well. Every problem has many potential solutions, and what has no solution may not be a problem at all.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Jupiter is in your sign for one glorious year. Do not waste a single day of this most beneficial transit. This is not the kind of thing where I have to use careful language so as not to set up your expectations. What you aspire to, you are extremely likely to achieve. Jupiter will lift you out of all the usual cycles of your life, and put you in contact with a much larger pattern and more encompassing point of view. And while you stand to gain a lot, the thing to remember is how much you have to offer. So miss no opportunity to share your resources and your knowledge — appropriately. Be generous with your time. Listen to people and their problems, learn from them, and do what you can. Jupiter in Cancer is the original sigil of the gift economy and the plus-plus symbiosis. Your animal totem is the dog. Study them carefully!

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The departure of Mars from your sign should come as a relief. How exactly? The discovery that you don’t have to impress anyone. If you look back, you may notice that this is the issue that has vexed you for the past six months. And it’s true, the world is extremely competitive right now, and even the most seemingly visible and impressive accomplishments can be hidden from view. But don’t worry about that. The people who you need to notice you will; and the rest matter little. With Mars now in Virgo, your assignment is to stick to your core values. Do what is right because it’s right. And don’t do anything that violates your true principles. This has nothing to do with what is trendy. The crime of the week always gets a hall pass; bigots are a dime a dozen. Do what is right because it’s right. Then keep going.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Mars is now in your sign, which is good news for two reasons. It’s been in Leo for a godly long time; that’s your 12th place and this is a formula for anxiety attacks. And with Mars now in Virgo, you have the ability to direct your energy with newfound accuracy. Make sure you utilize that. The key to success is the “less is more” principle. Use minimal energy, as few words as possible, and as much clarity as possible. People will be following your example, and that is the place to start. Also, you won’t have a sense of your larger goals until Uranus reaches Gemini in July. Until then, your energy would be best spent finding out from others what they think should happen, rather than telling them what to do. Someone you know and survey will have the right idea. Then you get to develop it.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — With so much going on across the dial in Aries, you will need to keep track of who is who and what is what. This must be a day-to-day and even hour-to-hour activity. When you listen to someone speak, or read their email (or communication, or other work product), be careful to spot the least potential for misunderstanding. But you don’t want to seem domineering. Utilize the “tie it all together” approach that comes easily to Libras. You may not like to make decisions, but you are excellent at sticking to the ones you’ve made or are subject to. Read and listen carefully, and use phrasing such as, “I hear you saying [so and so]. Am I correct in my perception?” Then sort that out. It will help if you know your facts and know your sources; but don’t flaunt everything. Just gently hold the world to the reality principle.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Don’t be too demanding of your friends. With your ruling planet Mars currently in Virgo, that is a temptation, though it won’t get you far with anyone. Rather, set a positive example and be accountable. Then notice who is in sync with you. It would seem you’re on some kind of mission, and I suggest you take the social/spiritual approach rather than a military one (another temptation). If you ease back and invest your bandwidth in noticing your environment, you will make many observations that help you get the project done. And it does appear as if there is a task at hand, and further, that the involvement of other people is necessary. Also note that under the current astrology, you will be doing most of the work yourself. But others may serve specific, focused roles — so get the right person for the job.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Your assignment is to do the work you do for its own sake, and also hold to a tangible goal. You can handle this seeming dualism. Your objective is the first thing to define, then you get busy, and keep checking back whether you’re more or less on course. You may be tempted to micromanage yourself, and I suggest you avoid that consciously. You are creatively driven right now, and it’s easy to derail that with drilling into the smallest details or thinking that you must do something perfectly. Mars in Virgo will help you stay on track, and keep your mind focused on the quality of what you are doing — and that is all you need from that department. It will help if you don’t leave small tasks for the future; take the “clean as you go” approach that your grandmother probably taught you about working in the kitchen.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Unusual activity in Aries (by which I mean unusual on a scale of decades or centuries) is encouraging you to take charge of your life and your affairs. This must begin at home and work its way out. The 4th house is “the ground you stand on” and the physical and psychic space you occupy. The 4th is also “the ancient house of fathers.” Do not fall for the current trend of disparaging everything ever done by a man — and claim your legacy with gratitude and respect. If you have unresolved feelings for your father, deal with them. Nobody on this planet had perfect parents. Even the terrible ones did some good, and most are far above the rating that is given to them. Resentment does you no good whatsoever. It’s fair to call it a satanic trap that only holds you back. Make friends with your father, and honor his humanity.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Your best ideas are more likely to come as intuitive discoveries rather than as rational calculations. There will be plenty of time to check your math. The things you want to land in your dream catcher are the ideas that occur to you as potentially worthwhile, as beautiful, or just interesting. You don’t need to pursue your imagination; you’re already close enough to have the full benefits of your curiosity. All you have to do is not filter out what doesn’t seem to make perfect sense. Also, you may discover that an intimate partner holds the key to a puzzle or problem, though it’s more likely to be of the ultra-rational variety of thought. It may seem too straightforward to be true. Yet it may be exactly correct, so don’t be deterred by logic.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — It’s not easy to be realistic or reality-based right now, with the two Pisces planets meeting one another at 90-degrees (a clash, or provocation). Yet it’s in the style of fat, happy Jupiter mixing it up with an overheated Neptune in Aries that’s unsure what it wants or why it’s feeling quite that way. The solution here is to get out of your head, and settle for a bit into your actual feelings. All of digital life is a head-trip; the only place it exists is in the mind. So you would benefit from the suggestion of Fritz Perls to go out of your mind and get into your senses. Think about what you want from life after you’ve had some rest and a good meal and spent a little time outside. When you are confused, apply basic logic. You have little to be upset over and much to be happy about.
