Saturn Conjunct Neptune in Aries
Chiron and Eris are providing the impulse to awaken and stay awake. Saturn and Neptune will be forming a conjunction in Aries, the other of the twin conjunctions. Without getting into the strange history of this event and how rare it is and why, let’s cut to the chase and I will tell you what I think this means.
And that is: resources. New material. The ability to take things that might not normally go together and combine them in an original way. Without Saturn and Neptune, the Chiron-Eris conjunction might feel irritating and unsubstantial; with Saturn and Neptune, you have fuel and raw materials to work with.
There are many ways to think of this. Saturn provides discipline and structure; Neptune provides inspiration. The two are useless without one another. By “new material” I do not mean a movie script or novel something. I mean that you have new material to enrich your mind and your inner quest for truth. You are being guided to enrich yourself and to feel the benefits that brings.
Then that enrichment can be turned into anything you want to think, do or express — as long as you meet one condition: be true to yourself.
It seems simple. But that is the journey. The entirety of the spiritual trip and the therapy trip and the right livelihood and the authentic relationship trip is about one thing only: being real with yourself. And if you ever start to slack, you can be sure that Pluto will give you a friendly, meaningful kick in the ass.
Aries (March 20-April 19) — You don’t have to use your power all at once. It’s better if you use only as much as you need for any situation, and instead rely on ideas, leverage and strategy. The temptation these days is to use blunt force to solve every problem and walk away from the wreckage. However, that’s not an acceptable approach since for you the collateral damage would be social. You are influential and people will respond to you, if you take the right approach. That would be subtle, even though your solar chart for the moment is anything but. This is why I’m saying that easy does it. The potency of who you are, and who you are rapidly becoming, is enough to get the energy moving. You can coalesce people toward a group agenda, whether it’s a church dinner or starting a new project or company. Intelligence and a touch of wisdom are your activating agents.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You have been through a transformation recently, what you might think of as an initiation. You have either survived something, or woke up one morning and found it within you to live in a way that is more truthful and closer to the core of who you are. Any way you look at it, you’re being called to leadership. The thing often forgotten is that this is not about words. Your example matters more than anything, and reaches people far beyond your awareness. This includes your ability to relate to others in a way they can understand, using clarity and tone. You know a lot; the challenge is conveying that to other people. Less is more. You don’t need to overshare. People can only handle so much. So if you have something you need to get done, practice providing just enough in the way of inspiration, concept and instructions. Taking authority will backfire. A gentle approach is essential.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — You seem to be convinced that a highly rational approach to your life situation will be the most effective, but what you need is the infusion of what is called the ‘right brain’. That means intuitive, imagistic, and implied, rather than logical steps to the proof. Think faith, not science. I’m suggesting this because with six planets in Aquarius, the world is having a brainiac attack, and that is calling for a watery approach. Said another way, you cannot think everything through. The question arises, if you use intuition or a creative approach, how do you know you’re right? But then if you cogitate your situation mentally, how do you know you’re right? That knowing can only come from experience. And not everything is a matter of right or wrong. Your thought process is likely to be missing something big. You will observe or discover that missing bit through a more sublime approach.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — You are busier than a dressmaker during prom season. Looked at one way, it seems that everything that comes into your awareness is demanding a piece of your attention, and then taking some action. Yet if you look from a slightly different angle, what seems like a demand will be an offer; what seems like a deficit will be an asset. And you need to do less, not more, because plenty of help is available. Your role is to provide the vision, and the inspiration. Usually, you provide the initiative and a lot of work, but you’re getting a promotion. You have to do less so that you can have the open bandwidth to lead in the way that only you can. You might be concerned that there is no practical approach to manifesting your ideas. However, I suggest you not let that be a concern. New ideas rarely have ready means of application. Others will help you create that.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — This is a glorious time to avoid confrontations. People may be coming at you full-on and furious. They may be making demands or insisting that you do things the way they want you to. They may claim that others believe the same thing that they do, and therefore, you should too. However, if you can get past all the propaganda, you will see that you have your own distinctive point of view. Others may see the world arranged one way; and you know that leaves out many factors. This is a matter of devotion, not one of power or influence. Everyone has their own concept of what makes the world go around. It does not matter who has signed up for the notion that might makes right. That’s not how anything gets done, and you would be wise to step aside from any situation that has its roots in power rather than service.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — If you see a crowd, go the other direction. There seems to be a mob gathered in one corner of your life, offering advice, help, perhaps a good dose of panic. They may be chanting your name or expecting you at a meeting. But I’m pretty sure you’re meeting your nephew at the art museum just exactly when that’s about to happen. Or maybe you want to go out for a cup of coffee. You can safely walk away from any scene that is not to your liking or that does not match your vibes. If you’re looking for guidance, one close friend will suffice, and most of what they will do is help you figure out what you’re already thinking, and remember what you know. You do not need a consensus. You need to feel your way to what is right for you, which is almost certainly not what’s right for everyone else.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Sometimes a creative approach requires some aggression. And sometimes it calls for gentleness and appreciation. You’re likely to try the Mars approach first, and the Venus approach second. But don’t try too hard; you could break something, or lose the trust of people you count on. The Venus approach will rely on being receptive to your senses, while the Mars approach will rely on emoting, force and a sense of being right. Which seems like more fun? Since this is a creative puzzle, which is the more artful approach? The difference is as big as the one between welding and watercolors. If you’re working with steel, welding would probably be the right way to go. If you’re working on paper, paint and pencils will serve you much better. You can also pause for a while, during which time the best course of action will likely dawn on you without much fuss.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Take a gentle approach to whatever is happening at home. You are not as threatened as you may feel. You may be tempted to throw down and make your will known. That’s unlikely to get the result you want; you will only stir up rebellion and resistance, including from yourself. You may also be wrong about the thing you’re absolutely the most certain of. So the best approach would be to either be less certain, or to look from other viewpoints. Be careful about taking opinion surveys or following what seems to be a consensus. Belief does not make something true. If you give your situation time, and let it play out a little, other facts will emerge, and you’ll see that you have more options. This scenario may involve family outside of your home; the one thing you don’t want to do is get involved in dramas. And it may be a real challenge to keep back.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — I’m looking at the description of a YouTube video describing our current time as a “descent into the singularity, referring to the theoretical point where current models of human understanding break down leading to radical transformation.” This somewhat describes where the Aquarius pileup has landed in your solar chart. But I would add a critique: Who actually understands things? Can you describe a situation where you were certain you didn’t get it, and then you figured out what was happening and you suddenly…got it? And that withstood further scrutiny and evaluation? Try to think of one or two examples. I would propose that our current model of understanding involves not understanding but also not noticing this is true. I suggest abandoning all pretenses and pretexts of thinking you know, and admitting that you do not. This is not about throwing your hands up but rather getting false belief and perception out of the way.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — You are confronting important questions about what it means to feel safe. However, they are about safe in the existential sense of the word, rather than an immediate sense. The real issue is one of belonging: does the person you truly are, who you are rapidly discovering, have a real place on the planet? This is largely a theoretical question. Imagine a skunk walking through a forest asking the same thing. You are where you are and the skunk is where it is; though I imagine that a skunk’s mind is less burdened than that of a human. You are here. The deeper question is, what are you going to do about it? This is a distinctly human problem that probably does not trouble skunks much. But the intensity of the current (and coming) astrology is confronting you to tune into your place and time and orient on your purpose. Listen quietly. The truth is tugging at your hand.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — Nobody knows where ideas come from. Yes, you can put a group of engineers together in a room and they can come up with a solution for the problem of building a bridge over a particular body of water. I mean the kinds of ideas that emerge seemingly out of nowhere, describing something that did not previously exist. Well, they come from consciousness, but that’s not really a place, and nobody has solved the problem of where it comes from, either. That said, your mind and various other levels of awareness are becoming more active than ever, and you’re likely to have information flowing into your mind that you have no way to account for. This may be like driving in Connecticut at night and hearing a radio station from San Antonio, only it’s a broadcast from 1950. What do you do? I would say listen and take notes.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — In a few days — on Monday, Jan. 26 to be exact — Neptune leaves Pisces and enters Aries to stay for more than a decade. If you have not already done so, I will repeat my suggestion that you work up a description for how you want your life to be. Use your creativity and your visionary quality and try to see yourself living the life you want, then describe it. Give some details and remember your priorities: that is, know what is most important to you. Rearrange your ideas until you have something that is inclusive of the important points. I am not proposing this as a form of magic but rather of focusing — that is, seeing — your ideas about yourself. This is part thought experiment and part manifestation exercise. Work your vision until you get it right. You have a few days. Use that time well.
