Aries (March 20-April 19) — Some concept of hidden consequences or the result of past karma may be stalking you, though please consider that it’s an illusion. Imagine you’re seeing something in a cloud formation that is as real as your imagination makes it, but only that much. I suggest you maintain your focus on what is tangible, what you consider personally valuable, and where you see potential for growth in the real world — rather than obsessing over anything that may have happened in the past. I recognize the challenge here, especially if you’re experiencing feelings of fear, remorse, or bearing responsibility for what others may have said or done. Rather than deny any challenging emotions, notice them and allow them to pass through you. All emotions are based on energy, and you can harvest these feelings and guide them toward wholly positive ends.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — You are now in possession of vital information about yourself that you may have never considered before, nor even dimly suspected. By all rights, this should be reassuring and grant you extra confidence. Yet is that your experience? Depending on your situation, the type of self-knowledge you have recently acquired is information about a personal growth or healing project you have neglected. It was easy to not take action because you are able to project yourself as a totally together person even when you’re having profound doubts. However, the time has come to acknowledge your inner reality, because now it is directly related to your outer reality. This will come as a relief; the benefit of authenticity is living with the assurance that you have nothing to hide. You don’t need to resolve everything at once. But it will help immensely if you are in tune with your inner needs and open about your healing process.
Gemini (May 20-June 21) — Retrograde Mercury is now conjunct Chiron, which may be reminding you that you have some soul-searching to do. Such may involve claiming yourself back from an image you’ve created for yourself, or taking accountability for a problem you’ve created. If you’re honest about your situation, you will discover that you have significant influence and abundant resources to make the necessary corrections. Rather than worry, confer with yourself, and with the people you trust, and make some decisions. Now would be a fine time to commit to entirely honest communications in all matters. This will save you tremendous energy and worry, and have the beneficial effect of providing a healing presence in your social circles. People are relying on you to set the example of personal responsibility and utmost sincerity — and that example includes demonstrating the benefits of these seemingly shocking, daring feats of human endeavor.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) — The essence of your current astrology is to maintain communication with yourself. For a while, there was a lot of talk in pop-psychology circles about “executive function.” Such includes the ability to manage time, pay attention, plan and organize. I would propose that this is about maintaining a clear and self-aware inner dialog. The more you instruct yourself, and teach yourself, and learn from your environment, the better options you will have. Yet it’s possible for fear to get in the way. For you, it sneaks in through what might ordinarily function as intuition, and often masquerades as it. However, intuition always advises calmly; it never terrorizes. It proposes solutions rather than threatening you with boundless problems. Intuition knows in advance the choices that will lead you calmly through any territory you’re in. All you need to do is listen carefully, and remember that anything dishing out anxiety is not intuitive in any way.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — The emphasis in your chart is moving toward achievement and recognition. I can confidently say you’ve never had astrology like this in your life, and you may feel a little daunted by the possibilities. And if that is true, remember that your sign is ruled by the Sun, which holds all the other planets in their orbits. This is apropos of Leo being a fixed sign; it’s a central organizing principle in all of astrology. That should give you enough confidence to be flexible, and remember that every day is different from the one that preceded it. If you get the feeling that things are going too fast, remember to pace yourself. There is actual wisdom in “one day at a time,” because that’s all you can really do. However, taking every opportunity to remove from your path something you might stumble on qualifies as being in the moment. Allow all of your actions to open the way ahead.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Claiming yourself is a slow process, though there are distinctive turning points. In those moments, you know you’ve made the decision to be free, and you feel that way. Yet that feeling requires practice to maintain, and staying with it is worth the effort. Notice, especially, at points of decision where you don’t have to factor in anyone’s view except for your own. Let those moments remind you of all the ways you had to compromise your values, and not make choices that you wanted to make, or go along with what you did not agree with. Your new state of genuine autonomy makes it easier to relate to people, not more difficult. When you stand on your own as an adult, you call on others to do the same. Then everyone can relate in a way that used to be called “on the level.” To say the phrase, “Level with me” means telling the truth about your situation. When people do this and expect it of one another, life is simpler, and it’s easier.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — If the current astrology is teaching you one thing, may it be that you are an individual with your own life path, desires and needs. There have been times when you could compromise that basic fact, and “adapt” to situations that were not really good for you. Yet those days are gone forever. You now understand that you have no option but to be yourself, and to allow everyone else to be who they are. Then, from that enlightened perspective, you find your meeting places. If this factor of the “changing times” of your life is impacting a current relationship adversely — that is, if you’re “too you” for someone close to you — now is the time for a Come to Jesus moment. If someone wants you in their life, they will accept you the way you are; and if they are not willing to do that, then they don’t want you in their life (because you means you, the actual you you actually are).
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — There are people who have tremendous things to offer you — yet one of them must not be control. Any resources made available to you needs to be no strings attached; trust must be sufficient. You are feeling pretty independent these days, and you have a strong sense of purpose. That must be your center line, from which you do not veer. Those who want to support you, or invest in you, must be held to the standard of you doing what is right and of you being you. Understanding will be your basis of confidence, and this you must have a feel for: whether someone understands you, and whether you understand them. Current aspects are just beautiful for forming a lasting and mutually profitable partnership with someone, though to say it another way, your independence must be part of this equation. Listen carefully for jealousy and envy. You have what many people want, but the opportunity to be with you in any way must be enough.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — In anything you do with feeling, with passion and driven by curiosity, there will be a chaos factor. For maximum benefit, work with this and not against it. You cannot control the flow of events, but you can tap into the heat rising up from the ground and use it for your benefit. To do anything truly creative, including self-creative, there is an element of what seems like random chance. That’s an illusion; imagine that to see through this, all you need is to practice the art of pattern recognition. This is a gentle thing, rather than something that drives you toward stern conclusions. It’s more than about noticing coincidences. You know you’re looking at a real pattern when it answers questions you didn’t know you had. It’s a study in noticing the background rather than the figures dancing around on the stage.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Never fall for the illusion that you’re boring. This is an odd self-perception I’ve often seen in Capricorns, and it may involve your affiliation with the most misunderstood planet, Saturn. Your chart is bursting with excitement and adventure and will be for the foreseeable future. The question is, will you allow yourself to take the risks you want to take? Can you skip the part about getting everyone’s opinion before you do so, and allow yourself to be a little more impulsive? While Saturn is about the stability principle, the action in your chart now involves Jupiter and Uranus, or what you might call the radical expansion principle. This would include putting yourself in the presence of interesting people, and learning from them. And a different approach to your creative aspirations would help. This is about getting your hands into something you love, not demonstrating or even aspiring to mastery. Start with feeling good and having fun.

The Solstice Point — 2024 Astrology Studio for Capricorn — is a special edition helping you put the pieces of Pluto in Capricorn together. I look forward, but this is mostly a review and debriefing of your experience since 2008. I will highlight key dates and take a close look at what this transit has meant. I will include a review of Chiron in Aries as well as new factors now in Capricorn that will be present well into the next decade. This is a distinct reading covering different material than Somewhere In Between for Capricorn.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You may have a truly brilliant opportunity to remake your home space over the coming weeks or months. Where you live and how you live are far more important to all Aquarian creatures than most astrologers admit, but you know the truth. This may involve revamping your home in some significant way, or starting your life in a new place. While timing is always a factor in a move, spontaneous opportunities arise, so be ready — and know your parameters in advance. For example, if you’re tired of living in a densely populated area, and you know that, then perhaps pass up yet another opportunity to stay in the city. Your opportunity is as much about skipping over the possibilities that you don’t want, as you grow ever-closer to the one you do. And that one may spring up where and how you least expect it — so stay curious, and open to the possibilities.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Do not be intimidated by the chaos factor, which is seemingly all-pervasive at the moment. You are the one who can see the patterns in the chaos. As a Pisces, your one true strength is the ability to transcend the perceptions of the world and not only see but live within the greater scenario of life. Or at least that is how you can handle yourself when you are centered, focused and understand that you’re part of the greater whole. And by virtue of these facts, you are sitting in a silver mine. The work you do has never been of greater value, in particular your ideas and how you express them. It’s up to you to embody that truth, in a world where everything seems to be of diminishing value. Yet the arbiter of value is whether you embody your truth, and let nothing stand in the way of your inner recognition. You can safely ignore the voices of the ghosts and ghouls of your past, and live your life as your own. It is.
