This is an introduction to the minor planets, starting with Ceres, Chiron and Eris. We will take a survey of the various classes of planets: classical, modern, centaurs, asteroids, Kuiper objects, scattered disk objects, damocloids, hypotheticals and others. We will learn how to use the minor planet ephemeris and the Chiron ephemeris. Live class takes place Sunday, July 11 (to avoid the July 4 holiday in the U.S.).
