Is anyplace safe?

No blood, no gore: Bourbon St. on a typical day. Photo by Zack Smith.

Dear Friend and Reader:

That we began the year with a national tragedy does not surprise anyone. We are past any form of shock from mass-kill events. The surprises now come in the press release. Early New Year’s morning, we are told that a guy with a rented pickup truck drove into crowds along Bourbon St., killing 15, then shooting it out with the cops. His chickens, goats and sheep are all said to have survived him.

Who exactly was behind this? A dead man named Shamsud-Din Jabbar is accused, and in his truck, he allegedly had the flag of ISIS. Remember that, from back during the Obama administration? Yes, the Islamic Caliphate, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh.

That was the thing we were told replaced al-Queda in 2013, and that named itself a trans-national “country” in 2014. Was Shamsud-Din Jabbar really part of ISIS? Does ISIS even exist anymore? Or did he have some of its memorabilia handy?

There’s a photo of me posing with the Doobie Brothers floating around, backstage before a concert. For all the world it looks like I’m in the band. I am not. No more does having a flag make someone part of a movement or a nation. But once again we are back to the myth of alleged Arab terrorists using weapons of opportunity; in this case, the most American thing ever: a pickup truck.

High Anxiety

In my Dec. 19 article High Anxiety, I described the ongoing experience of Mars opposite Pluto, exact in the New Orleans massacre chart, as “psychic disturbance [that] is intensified and prolonged by Mars being retrograde: turned inward on itself.” It represents “energy, intention, ambition, desire, and action, all turned inward. This is stoking up a lot of both aggression and paranoia.”

Mars in Leo represents the individual; Pluto in Aquarius represents the group. This pattern is an early indicator of Pluto in Aquarius and its pitting of the individual against the collective. Notice how much damage “one disturbed person” can do. Notice that we have no skills or resources to stop such an incident in advance. Humans could easily attune themselves to create a psychic field where such a thing would be impossible.

The ground (of society and individuals) is prepared for this to come from any and every direction. In a short while, the center of astrology shifts to Aries, and retrograde Mars is serving as a probe telling us a little about what to expect. Once it begins, around the March equinox, the Aries energy is sustained for about two years, peaking a second time in the spring of 2026.

No matter who is behind these kinds of attacks, or who is behind not preventing them, the message here is that you must never feel safe anywhere, at any time. That is the point of terrorism. It’s about intense fear as a way of life. Yet most people cannot live in a state of abject paranoia, so the only option is to stuff it under awareness — where it will wreak havoc.

Events of the world cannot be separated from the media devices which convey them to us everywhere, all the time. Not long ago, an event like the NoLa truck attack would have garnered a small page-one article in The New York Times and maybe some TV coverage. Today it is broadcast wall-to-wall, around the clock, for many days on end. How do you respond? You really have no option but to cut off. Staying “connected” is all too painful.

That is Digital Disembodiment

The experience of cutting off: that is disembodiment. And we are being provoked to numb out all the time. Part of the numbness is dissociating from any sensation or experience of safety. The feeling is one of being stalked all the time.

This unbearable feeling has to go somewhere and where it goes is outward — to blame one another. One of the problems implicit in all of this is that there is no room for self-discovery or self-awareness. Since every place is already dangerous, curiosity is not safe, either: you might not like what you find out — therefore, silence your questions.

Such a state easily translates into aggression. That is the one “safe” thing, because it at least fits the zeitgeist. And since everyone is already so on-edge, it’s easy to get a rise out of people. And when someone does that, they can feel “stronger” and “more present” and have the illusion of knowing who they are.

The worse the digital disembodiment situation gets, the more people will seek out different forms of violence and aggression in a meager attempt to self-actualize. This will be working on every level of society, from the individual to national identity. This phenomenon has been building momentum throughout the rise of an electrical civilization, which creates a lot of people with no clue who they are.

People who live by rage and resentment are “compensating” for the fact that they have no idea who they are. You do not need to engage these people, though it’s often difficult to avoid their propaganda — and it will almost always be them telling you who you allegedly are and are not.

If you are seeking safety, it is the kind associated with nonviolent self-awareness. In sum, it’s necessary to become an expert in why you are being manipulated by any given person or event.

Complex and simplified charts for the NoLa event. In the chart to the right, it’s easy to see the Mars-Pluto opposition. This is part of a pattern with the lunar nodes that gives the incident greater emphasis.

A Few More Details from the Chart

For those who follow this type of astrology, I’m putting my additional observations about the chart in one section. This is not for everyone; but follow along and you’ll start to learn astrology. I track evidence in the chart of problems with the official narrative; so far, after one day, that narrative is holding up.

This was not a complicated or mysterious crime and it’s certainly possible that one person did it. And we have a motive in the digital rage factor. Mars retrograde opposite Pluto makes a strong care for lone actor.

— We know about the Mars-Pluto opposition (which is still within one degree and exact Friday); think of that as the detonator that activates the nuclear blast. The third of three of these oppositions is April 26, with Mars direct. Watch for more “individual versus collective” events.

Then:

— Scorpio was rising. Mars and Pluto are the classical and modern rulers of Scorpio. This chart contains a lot of energy. However, the odd thing is that Venus (ruler of Taurus) makes no aspect to either Mars or Pluto. This lack of an aspect describes the lack of relationship between the incident and its target. This is a false flag indicator.

— Uranus is setting on the 7th house. This was about disruption for its own sake — though with a political motive.

— This event happened within hours of the Capricorn New Moon conjunct Pholus, the small cause with the big effect that I discussed in last week’s STARCAST. This activated the Family Hunger Game cluster, describing the quiet desperation of many people in society. The Pholus factor is about the rapid release of energy, and being drunk on anything from booze to power.

— The event occurred at the end of the New Moon, with the Moon void-of-course in Capricorn. (The Moon was void during the 9/11 event.) A major factor appearing in the last degree of Capricorn is a false flag indicator; it is conspiratorial. Here, we have a second one — see below.

— The Moon was exactly conjunct Sappho. This has the effect of giving a fake sense of togetherness. Sappho was also prominent in the 9/11 chart. The main purpose of that event was to galvanize public opinion.

— The Moon was about to enter Aquarius and set off the Mars-Pluto pattern. There was a second incident, in Las Vegas, as that happened.

— Jupiter closely square Saturn creates a sense of desperation, as if this is one’s last lifetime to accomplish something. There is one more of these, with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Aries, on June 14. At that time, Neptune will be in the picture (in Aries, square Jupiter and closely conjunct Saturn). This adds the delusion/denial factor. The pattern describes making up stories, then believing them and will describe many, many forthcoming events.

— Jupiter in Gemini stands opposite the Great Attractor (a deep-space point), indicating a much larger scenario than we are being told about.

— Finally, it is impossible to miss that the Sun was conjunct Pallas, describing a wholly political and strategically planned incident. This was not a random event committed by one person, though as usual, it looks a lot like one.

They will never leave us alone; you will need to find your own peace.

Society as depicted in the media has devolved into a nonstop crisis. The harassment campaign continues nearly around the clock. And it is fed by two things: one is your awareness being taken out of your center and away from your body and sphere of influence; and the second is an obsession with fear. You don’t need this.

The goal of all of these events is total instability, distrust and conflict.

There is much that you can do to promote the stability of your personal world and your consciousness — and by extension, those of the people who surround you. But you have to want it, and you cannot set about deluding yourself every day — especially with thinking that violence is the answer to anything.

Support what sustains you. Bring your love where you experience love. Express gratitude wherever you find care and nourishment and do what you can in return.

Help those who are closer to the edge than you are, whether financially or spiritually. This will teach you a lot about your own condition. Yet while you do this, it’s essential to be cautious of those who would take advantage of you. I follow the teaching of A Course in Miracles on this matter: Help where you know you will not hurt anyone, including yourself.

Make an honest assessment; you will get a clear yes or a clear no. Lack of one or the other says pause and observe.

With love,

Your faithful astrologer,
