Aries (March 20-April 19) — We are close not only to having but to wanting a social credit system like China has. And there will be those who refuse and resist. But this will take courage, because social influencing systems uphold their own regulations with the threat of shunning.

You will have, ongoing, the choice of how to respond: to speak up in a way that may be noticed, or to retreat into using your digital tools only for basic work, commerce and entertainment. However, you may experience the evolutionary drive to participate in society. This could be in any area from the school board to scouting to something on a much broader scale.

The personal drive for you here is not just Pluto but rather the momentum of the twin conjunctions in your sign (Chiron-Eris and Saturn-Neptune) that are urging you to stand out, to be yourself and speak your truth. That’s when you find out how tight the mesh has become — and you will have many opportunities to decide what to do about it. What you do may depend on where you run into resistance to your own ordinary thoughts and actions that are suddenly considered out of mode.

You may figure out that the only thing we really have in our lives are our friends. Take the time and energy to deepen your social connections with people both in real life, and in the digital realm. Both are important. Both are necessary, and you cannot survive only on one side of the divide.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Under Pluto 10th conditions, you will have more power and more influence. Though it may not seem like it at the time, this will come with greater potential for consequences. If you plan to use your power, I would remind you of the threefold law.

There will be occasions when the effects of your decisions cannot be reversed, and when the damage you may do cannot be easily corrected. There will be times when you don’t even notice; the effects of Pluto can be invisible to normal perception.

As this transit takes hold, I suggest you study the effects of each decision you make related to family or any group matter, including professional. You must do a kind of feasibility study and impact review before making major life decisions that influence your partner(s), your children and your family generally — as the 10th is first and foremost about family authority.

The most important pitfall of Pluto in the 10th can be the will to power. The problem with this emotion or drive is that it feels like “the thing to do.” The matter of ethics does not intervene. There is no question about the effect of the power that’s wielded. It’s good for its own sake.

No matter how humane of a person you are, it’s vitally important that you be cautious of this influence. Power is subtle, it’s not always called by name, and it’s often blind to its own influences and effects. And because people tend to feel good about being in power, the usual warning systems are not available.

Gemini (May 20-June 21) — One theme of our times, and of Aquarius, is the nearly total overlay between the social and the technical. We do not yet know how serious a problem this is, though you may suspect it. You will certainly make many discoveries about the nature of the situation and what you want to do about it. The social realm is the equivalent of your personal religion. This is the underlying source of the human-centered nature of Gemini.

For many different reasons, we seem to be entering a phase of deep instability in the world. And due to the combination of Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, there will be many shocks to the human environment because it’s so closely connected to the digital environment. The only sane response to this problem (which many do not see) is to maintain human connection. You definitely care; you will be motivated by many factors to take action; and the thing to remember is that we are entering a time when collective needs must take precedence over individual needs. Yet for that to happen, people must be connected to themselves and their priorities, and know how to both take care of themselves and stay in alignment with the human experience. This is a tall order, but you are up to the task.

Cancer (June 21-July 22) — The essence of Pluto in Aquarius is about holding your power in relationships. This will be about cultivating true individuality, in the face of others who want you to conform to their point of view. Given the nature of Pluto, you must do this in a gentle, persistent way — and take the long view of your situations.

Pluto in Aquarius will have three main modes of action.

The first of these is groups attempting to pressure you into violating your values. With this coming from the 8th, such individuals are likely to be close to you.

The second is your need to stand up to others who would pressure you into decisions that are not correct for you. This is about cultivating authentic individuality. This always has a root in self-knowledge and self-understanding.

Finally, there is the potential for the group of people closest to you — such as intimate partners, in-laws and business partners — to go through a collective evolution of some kind, in which you will be directly involved.

But that involvement is really a call for your own personal growth. Remember at all times that groups are arrangements of individuals — they are not masses or crowds or collectives. Individuality is not about a label, badge or button. It’s about your commitment to understanding yourself, lived as a daily devotion.

Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — There is a theory that every relationship has a top and a bottom — that is, one partner who is submissive and one who is dominant. That’s worth thinking through.

However, if you find yourself in relationship situations where someone is trying to dominate you, and you’re not interested, you would be well served to move along quickly. Expression of power is one thing if you like it, and it’s appropriate to the relationship. It’s another thing if you find yourself subject to conditions you do not want.

Your personal relationships need real intimacy — in person, outdoors, offline, with food you prepare and that does not come from a robotic “app” delivered to you lukewarm, all shaken up and wrapped six times in a little plastic tub.

You might say that the bottom line of Pluto in Aquarius for you is: keep it human. Do the Turing Test on individuals. Are they people, or are they digitized? Know who and what you’re dealing with. Stick to the types who love cats and dogs and who get excited when they see an unusual bird. Stick to people who want to be in your orbit and not crash into you.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Pluto is going to shake up your work patterns and add some serious drive to your powertrain. You may be taking up the project of a lifetime, which means you’ll be at it for a while. Make sure that this is something where you love both the process and the planned outcome.

The 6th is more oriented on process than on goals (look to your Gemini 10th for goals — Uranus arriving there is just as exciting and will work well with Pluto.) While the 6th is better known for enterprise than distinction, you will be rapidly concentrating both qualities. This could be to the point of obsession; the antithesis there is to fully engage your growth and personal evolution in the work that you do — and this is relatively rare within our economy. Most people still work to get by rather than work to grow, participate, or do something meaningful.

I would propose that Pluto is going to drive you in the direction of meaning. So when you have a choice to make, that would be an excellent basis. Meaning implies growth. Pluto ensures a change in your working patterns, so you will have opportunities to make decisions that help you build and develop both yourself and your talents. This verges on mandatory; but really, it’s not so bad.

When it’s working well, Pluto is compelling and appealing even if you seem to have no choice in the matter. And it does something special, which is to provide you with motivation coming from a deep place. Usually in our world, that is a plus.

Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — With digital consciousness dominating our perception of reality, options seem limited because both the view and the experience of the physical world are cut off. There is an evaporating desire to go deep, partly because deep no longer seems to exist; and when it does, it’s perceived as risky.

Here is an easy way to think of this: We now live in a world where it’s often difficult or impossible to get someone at a business on the phone. You keep getting prompts and being asked questions in weird intonations by Electric Susie. That is a fact. But how you feel when you want or need to speak with someone to solve the problem, but cannot — that is the effect. And then you may wonder where the world went.

Everyone is sick of digital “opportunities” and digital billionaires and ongoing fake digital disease outbreaks, but the effect runs far deeper, of course. It all comes down to emotional connection and the sense that one actually exists. And if we want to keep our humanity, or even remember what it is, we must handle this situation carefully. This is especially crucial for you, since you’re looking right at it nearly all the time, and because it has a larger-than-usual influence on your relationships.

Fortunately your astrology describes not just a strong shift in the scenario but also a diversity of approaches that you may find helpful: different angles from which to experience the world, to experience things a little more gently, and to develop and deepen your human experiences.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — Remember that the Pluto in Aquarius impulse will feel like something coming from deep inside you — so therefore it must be true, because it’s so “authentic.” How can you argue with what you feel? Well, you might want to give that a yodel. You might not actually be feeling it. Something else may be trying to feel its way up through you, and you may figure out that this has something to do with a dimension of your family crisis.

And in fact there may be actual people involved saying actual words and trying to persuade you to do actual things. What is important is, if you don’t like it, that you know and say you don’t like it. That is the first step that qualifies as “not going along.” You are honest with yourself rather than pretending you don’t care.

The risk of this transit is trying to save other people from their own folly. You might think you can do so, only to discover once again that you cannot. What you may not be admitting is that this is a game. You cannot win the game, or by losing, fulfill its purpose. Neither is satisfactory.

But what you can do is be resolutely who you are, and stand uncompromisingly in your truth. That will do more to unravel lifetimes of entanglement and codependency than anything else you can do — and the rewards will be real. My assessment is this is the example that will provide the best leadership for young people around you. You don’t need to “change your family,” though everyone will benefit from your steadfast sincerity.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Anything with Aquarius related to personal thought process must cultivate the yoga of knowing when you don’t know. This is not about “feeling stupid,” which is standard fare. Knowing when you don’t know is being so self-aware that you spot a gap in your knowledge or understanding. You see the fact pattern so well, you can spot what is missing.

One problem of AI is that it’s going to make this very difficult. It will make people into even lazier thinkers than they are today, and with Aquarius on your 3rd, driven by Pluto, you could slip right into this. Therefore, I suggest you accept nothing as true on its face and make sure that at some point early in any discussion, you take over and at least run a few basic verification procedures, and take possession of your own thoughts. The challenge will be to notice your mental ruts and crystalized patterns — and then challenge them.

The Aquarius mind loves theories, and being an honest thinker means testing your theories, tearing them down, building them back up, listening to competing theories, and then discovering something you think is true enough. And then, notably, not being attached to it. You must have the guts to challenge your own findings, your ideology and your beliefs.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — The essence of Pluto in Aquarius is your independence of thought. That’s a good place to start, as thought precedes action, and it should precede discussion. This is about having a fully-aware decision-making process. It’s also about recognizing the pressure that other people put you under — in reality, and in your mind. You drag around a lot of preconditioning and the need for approval. You did not create this; it was passed down to you, and is the result of much conditioning. The more you see that in action, the better.

Pluto seems poised to demolish these thought patterns. But it’s going to drive a much more important question: What are your priorities? What do you value? What is truly important to you and why? And then there is the next stage: gaining the power to stand up not just to your internal conditioning, but also to either engage or withdraw from the people around you who would try to pressure you into doing what you do not think is right for you or for your family.

As the years of Pluto in Aquarius (and Uranus in Gemini) develop, that pressure will only increase. This will be due to the tightening web of technology and also the tribal state of mind that it induces. If these air sign placements indicate anything for you, it’s your increasing capacity to make your own choices even in the face of overwhelming pressure. That is called having your own ethics, but these also take guts to put into use — especially under threat.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — The pervasiveness of algorithms is leading to algorithmic thinking and behavior — and part of the problem here is that this subtracts empathy, feeling, emotion and any true aesthetic sense. Robots expose us to simulated thought, and then people adopt this by adapting to it — and then further respond with simulated feelings or no feelings at all.

That is the meanness, the cruelty and the rage, the detachment from reality and the frightening sense that sanity itself has left the room: they are all part of people becoming like robots.

I strongly suggest you study your own growth and development since the deployment of the iPhone (2007) and assess how you feel and what your life has become as we move deeper into the digital age. Are you happier? Do you have more free time on your hands? Do you have friends you can socialize with in person? Is your personal economic situation better?

These will cease to be abstract concepts or survey questions under the influence of Pluto in Aquarius. The true nature of your relationship to the robotic world will be pushed, pulled and stretched until the truth comes out.

The aspects developing through 2027 and indeed into the new decade will grant you a lot of power. Pluto in Aquarius, for example, will shape you into a person of considerable influence. You will have many inner and outer resources at your disposal, and it’s up to you what you do with them. You will not be a hobbit living in your hole in the ground.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — The 12th place is a strange overlay between interior and exterior. It’s important to sort out what is happening inside you and what is happening to you — and what the two have in common.

Deep events in the 12th, of which you’ve had many in recent decades (Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus and Neptune have all come through the territory fairly recently), can evoke existential fear. This may be happening to you when society is going through external experiences that shake people up. Your learning and teaching goal is to know how to sort out the difference.

Your most important tool will be your inner authority. I get that you’re not going to find many people who can tell you their experience of this, since most people have very little. However, there is going to be a lot of outer authority going on. By that I mean that the people around you may be responding to outer authority as if it’s totally real and the only thing there is.

But you do not need to conform to this, and Pluto — the seeming source of all this control drama — can be properly located as a force in your own consciousness. You get to decide how to respond and ultimately what that force is about; what it’s caused by; what it’s teaching you; and how to respond.
