Weekend Astrology for Feb. 21-23
Sunday is the Pisces New Moon, exact 10:32 am EST. This means today and tomorrow are mostly about preparing for the new cycle to begin: tying up loose ends, winding down and waiting. Since we’re already in Mercury retrograde territory, chances are this weekend will continue that sense of introspection and review.
There might be some added tension, not least because Mars is active in the early degrees of Capricorn. As we’ve discussed previously, this could be stirring up deep feelings as the red planet connects with Chiron, Pholus, Quaoar and Salacia. Be gentle with yourself and take the process one step at a time.
Paying attention to the movement of your emotions will help. It won’t hurt to take a methodical approach, also, unless you do it to the point of constriction. If you write down what you’re experiencing, for example, it may be easier for you to articulate emotions that might otherwise seem elusive. Gather your courage in both hands, and allow yourself to explore as thoroughly as you are moved to.
The New Moon on Sunday opens a window and lets in a fresh breeze. Anything feeling stuck will likely begin to shift, and you can make some progress with ongoing matters. Keep your eyes, ears and spidey sense fully open, however. All this Pisces, with Mercury retrograde in the mix, could well get a little slippery.
Listen carefully to what others say, and don’t agree to anything unless you’re totally clear what it entails. Avoid making an assertion unless you’re sure of your facts: this extends to sharing memes and links on social media, which it’s all too easy to do without checking the source.
This essentially boils down to two things: honesty, with yourself and others, and carefulness. Both are well within your reach.
