Your birthday chart describes a need to resolve friction between your professional standing and evolving identity. Worldly aspirations, ideals and your approach to security all factor in to profound changes you’re navigating this year. This is a necessary stage of your journey, and requires bringing outstanding matters to conclusion. Clear the ground for what’s to come. There’s real potential for healing in this process. The work you do this year can positively impact your self-worth as it ties in to personal history, or to resources necessary to create a healthier living environment.

Written in the Planets for Friday, Jan. 17
Today’s last quarter Moon occurs in late Libra, square the Capricorn Sun. It’s the first Moon phase following last week’s eclipse and Full Moon, making this a good time to focus on anything you can complete or begin to wind down. ‘Next phases’ of major transitions also appear poised to benefit from some extra leverage, and you probably know where to dig in.
Early in the afternoon Eastern time, the Moon enters Scorpio. This is a passionate, sensitive, often secretive Moon placement. It can also describe an urge to get beneath surface veneers — whether of your own emotions and motives, or those of others. Scorpio is a fixed sign, yet you can work with it best by keeping your emotions moving and transforming, rather than getting stuck in them.
This Scorpio Moon immediately dives into contact with Mercury in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, which are square each other. Mercury and Uranus describe a brisk mental pace, perhaps some inspiration, and needing new stimulation.
Add in the Scorpio Moon, and the urge to purge — in terms of emotions you need to express — or the urge to splurge — in terms of the emotional stimulation you crave — could become quite strong. What you say or what you hear from someone could surprise you. Let revelations spur your mind forward — not to premature conclusions, but rather to the next questions that could take you deeper.
