Aries (March 20-April 19) — You may be discovering that the “global village” is not a friendly place. That is the world as transformed by digital consciousness. I know you’re probably reading this on a phone, which most people do not treat with a sense of philosophical inquiry. However, the chaotic, often nasty, truth-be-damned quality of the digital sphere is grinding at people’s souls. You may be noticing this in the chilly, hostile nature of the world. Yes, it’s true that individual perception counts for a lot. Smile and the whole world smiles with you. People are strange when you’re a stranger. However, you may find it productive to size up recent events of your social world (and possibly your professional world) by asking whether any of this would have happened before there was an internet. That said, there are tremendous rewards for those who figure out where they are and make it their business to orient themselves appropriately.
Taurus (April 19-May 20) — Listen for the gentle lure to new experience, rather than what has a lot of sparkle and pizazz. The concept of subtlety is becoming archaic, but it still exists for you. This may come as appreciation of details, and noticing the distinction of fine quality. Similarly, in the world of business and commerce, there is a marauding spirit that may be trying to get your attention. However, your leadership role is on the social level, and that is about weaving community and a spirit of friendship rather than conquering anything. Who knows what that is, besides an advantage? Your assignment is to keep it real, and to remain vulnerable in the face of adversity. You will have many opportunities to take advantage of people, because they trust you. No matter how worthy of trust you consider yourself, you must scrutinize your actions and your motives from moment to moment. You are the one who must hold yourself accountable.
Gemini (May 20-June 21) — When the Sun enters Pisces next week, you’re likely to experience a step up in the world: in visibility, in opportunities and in your quest for success. Yet what I suggest you focus on is your level of commitment. It’s essential that you devote yourself to what you prefer and what you genuinely care about: what motivates you from within. There will be the temptation to do what is right because it’s right. You will want to respond to some of that, because for you commitment for its own sake offers a level of personal satisfaction. Yet in new endeavors, and in anything to which you may invest the majority of your time, preference and activity for the sake of pleasure is truly important. You have a high likelihood of success; you will do more of what you choose to do, and then when you’re up to your ears in success, at least you’ve chosen what you want. That said, your life has a way of choosing you.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) — The Sun and a diversity of planets moving through Aquarius (including nascent Pluto) are calling on you to connect with others — in a meaningful way. Yet you may be figuring out human contact is a whole other thing than before that fateful day when the iPhone was introduced. To do anything social is to be a pioneer in the digital age. This may translate to being a leading figure in an action movie about finding your way back to reality. However, the thing to do is to figure out what ‘reality’ is for people today, and remember, hardly anyone really thinks about this. Here is what I suggest: connect with people on the level of purpose that is meaningful to them. Stay entirely within their sphere, and learn what they value, and get to know people on their own terms. One contact will lead to the next, and soon enough, you will figure out a way to have some meaningful fun.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — While the Sun is about to move into Pisces, planets are collecting in your relationship house, Aquarius. As they arrive, they form a conjunction to Pluto. This describes a scenario where people seem one way one day, then they become something else. They go through a transformation process, and it’s likely taken you by surprise a few times. This is cautionary: when you meet someone, give them time to show their true colors. For you, it’s no longer true that first impressions mean much more than something to contrast with your second and third impressions. One of the best ways to get to know someone is to spend some time around the people they associate with. If you’re interested in someone, observe how they are around others, and notice how everyone treats one another. To understand something really means “to stand among.” In your quest for understanding during the Pluto-in-Aquarius era, get yourself into the mix.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — The Sun entering your opposite sign in a few days will give you a clearer view into the mirror. As a result, you may shift your emphasis onto one or two people rather than what seems to be an emphasis on group collaboration. This same shift would also be from a work emphasis to personal. It has not been easy for you to navigate the waters of intimate relationships any time recently, though slowly the storms and fog are beginning to clear. One suggestion from your astrology is that your relationships have a purpose other than being self-serving. Our society is obsessed with romance for its own sake, and work relationships with any degree of feeling or attraction to one another is considered a crime. Yet humans are collaborative, and every relationship advisor will tell you how important common interests are. I would take that one shade further: some common purpose is necessary.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — You’re being pulled by some strange form of gravity toward unfamiliar territory, and this may not be comfortable. Yet every cell in your being is calling on you to take some kind of unusual creative risk. This implies two things, at least: one is that you seek direct experience, rather than something on paper, in digital form, in your mind or what you talk about. You will learn the most, and have the most freedom, from lived experience in actual space and time; from things you do with your body. The second thing implied is that your best choices are likely to break consensus. There may not be anyone nearby who agrees with you or who understands your desires or intentions. You are relationally oriented, and we live in a world where many people cannot sit alone in a restaurant and eat dinner. Yet your current path is for your steps alone.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — One thing after another is coming to an end, and it may not seem like enough to say that those endings all represent beginnings. It’s good to sit with your circumstances in a time of transition, rather than going onto the next new thing. Closure is a deeply personal and solitary process. It rarely involves others, and is not usually suitable for expression in words. Nobody else may feel the way you feel. That there may be other people around who cannot really relate to your feelings or your situation may feel lonely. Yet the growth you’re experiencing is not relatable; you are in a deep, alchemical process where the elements of your being are emerging and recombining in a deeply personal way. So take all the privacy and introspective time that you need. If you stay with yourself, understanding will come, without the need to ask specific questions that do not have specific answers.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — Your most productive direction of travel is inward — for now. There will come a time, not far from now, when that will reverse. And when that happens, you will want to be rested and centered. So take the time and allow that to happen. Yes, there may be a tremendous buzz of activity around you. You may feel like your life is like the county EMS communications center and there are not enough dispatchers to handle the calls. You can tune out that whole level of mental activity if you want, though it may take a conscious decision. Try to do it without medicating yourself in any way; that will make it more difficult to clear the astral adhesiveness that’s enabling certain undesirable things to stick to you. The idea is to move through your emotional material and come out the other end. You will do this in any event, though it would be wise to emerge into the light with as little of what you entered with as you can manage.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — Everyone makes mistakes in relationships; it would be helpful to write down a list of yours, so that you might avoid making them again. That’s really the problem: not making an error once, but doing it repeatedly. If you’re looking for the pattern you’re following, consider that it has less to do with you, and more to do with how you’ve been influenced by your family. You might also want to study their mistakes, which will seem more obvious in some ways. Yet what you’re looking for is the modern equivalent. One problem is when the goal of the relationship is to stay together rather than to be happy, creative or productive. Another potential issue is how unresolved relationships with mothers and fathers become unresolved issues with partners. But few people have the courage to look at the real impact of their parents; and even fewer want to consider the real impact they are having on their children. Start anywhere.

The Solstice Point — 2024 Astrology Studio for Capricorn — is a special edition helping you put the pieces of Pluto in Capricorn together. I look forward, but this is mostly a review and debriefing of your experience since 2008. I will highlight key dates and take a close look at what this transit has meant. I will include a review of Chiron in Aries as well as new factors now in Capricorn that will be present well into the next decade. This is a distinct reading covering different material than Somewhere In Between for Capricorn.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — As one planet after the next enters your sign, meeting Pluto on the way in, you may feel like your personality is a kaleidoscope. You are getting a sense of many possible states of being, and of self-awareness. And you are also seeing what you have the option to not choose to be, or to express. The last of these ingresses is about to happen, and that is Venus, which forms its exact conjunction to Pluto on Saturday. There is a lot to that conjunction, and the presence of Pluto will bring out the deeper shades of the feminine avatar. This may feel like anything from deep, abundant lust to the recognition that the digital environment is no place for your most meaningful relationships. In sum, this aspect is about the drive to connect — and that may mean to more than one person, and in truth, to everyone.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — As planets collect in your 12th house, you may feel the pressure building inside you, and like you may soon burst. Just in time, the Sun will enter your sign Sunday at 11:13 pm NY-time. All at once, this will let the pressure out and help you return to a state of balance. Yet as the Sun approaches Saturn in your sign, get ready for a week of high motivation. You have work to do, and you know there will be tangible rewards for your efforts. Even if you don’t know, I’m here to tell you: every ounce of sincere effort will yield a pound of results. This week, you have the opportunity to remove obstacles and potential stumbling blocks well before you encounter them. Your clairvoyant abilities are at their maximum, though it’s essential that you work with the facts and keep looking into known blind spots. This is a crucial point of beginning. Jai Ganesha!
Thank you , Dear Eric .
