Monday Morning Horoscope #159 for Jan. 14, 2019
You must count on yourself to attain the goals you’ve set for yourself. Any help that comes your way will be nice, though you must be the editor-in-chief, the reporter and the production manager. Only you understand not just the brass tacks of the situations, but also the many commitments that are involved. Beware of anyone who talks a big game, or who makes a claim without having specific facts and figures to back themselves up. Do not be afraid to ask the hard questions, and to size up in cold terms who is committed and who is not, based on their behavior, and whether they back up what they have promised. Your chart suggests you’re at a moment of truth, where you must confront the reality of a situation you might prefer to overlook. Be willing to face the bottom line, and to move on from anyone who has proven to be unreliable or has let you down. In our times, we’re supposed to run in circles, hoping people will wake up. Save your time and energy.

Monday Morning Horoscope #167 for March 11, 2019
You may take an odd or circuitous route to reach your current goal. That suits you just fine, as it’s rare that you prefer to do things the normal or expected way. By taking your own path to get where you’re going, you learn more, you have more fun, and you encounter surprise developments. Let this work in various life situations, and also try it when you’re roaming around on the ground. Experiment with taking different ways of getting places. Turn off the GPS and let yourself get lost. The world at the moment is way too heavily invested in its false certainty, which does not foster creativity in any form. It’s even terrible for things like science and engineering. Therefore, allow yourself to be uncertain. When you encounter a mystery, establish a relationship with it, rather than trying to solve it. Use your imagination rather than your rational mind.

Monday Morning Horoscope #183 for July 1, 2019
Mercury retrograde season is upon us. The retrograde begins July 7, in Leo, your 3rd house of mind and message. One of the reasons that Gemini is what it is — almost all are good with words, are funny, and are perceptive in ways worth listening to — is that you have Leo representing your language and related cognitive functions. The forthcoming Mercury retrograde involves a series of Mercury-Mars conjunctions that began on June 18 (in Cancer), which peaks on July 8 (in Leo), and which resolves in early September (in Virgo). So whatever happens early in this Mercury retrograde, remember it’s part of a process that spans four months. This means you can afford to be patient. In fact, you cannot afford not to be, particularly where your words are concerned. Everything you write, share or publish must be on a delay: don’t just bust out and click “send.” It will also take you time to figure out what you’re reading, whether it’s a contract, a book, instructions, or personal correspondence. Slow down and pay attention.

Monday Morning Horoscope #189 for August 12, 2019
A close partner or associate may decide it’s time to change their tune regarding a position they’ve taken for months. They may own up to something, or move forward with a discussion that has been veiled in silence, or decide it’s time to participate more actively. It will take some time, a month at least, to get a sense of where they’re actually coming from, and whether they’re prepared to rise to a commitment. Action will be the proof, not words. You will know for sure where someone stands in early December, when Jupiter enters Capricorn. Until then, don’t get your hopes up; rather, honor your commitments and promises to yourself, and carry your projects and ambitions forward under your own steam. If you need help with something, don’t wait — rather, actively seek the collaboration that you need. And be bold about holding people to their promises, while at the same time making sure that you keep yours.

Monday Morning Horoscope #197 for Oct. 7, 2019
You may be tempted to guide yourself by public opinion, though that’s pointless. Assuming anyone even understands the public these days, it’s no way to choose your actions or to form opinions about yourself. You’re more likely to be responding to some inner restlessness that’s provoking you rather than anything outside of yourself. Consider that what is “out there” is based on something “in here,” and it may make more sense. This is particularly true where sexual attraction is concerned. It’s easy these days to say “that person is attracted to me,” whether out of some concern or just for the sake of gossip, but how do you feel? What is your response, whether to your own desires, or the quality of someone else? Sometimes you have to peel that back a few layers; at the moment, it will flash right at the center of your mind. Now, what do you do with this information?
