Overnight Wednesday to Thursday we will experience a truly unusual New Moon, arriving at a packed and sensitive moment. This is the alignment of retrograde Mercury conjunct the Moon, the Sun and the Earth — at exactly the same time.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — You may make some discoveries about your parents that will amaze you. Whether they are present or not, there is quite a bit that you either do not know, or have suppressed from memory for some reason.

Make the most of the Sun transiting your sign for another week and a half. With water signs especially, you need the influence of water, and you have it. This will peak with a highly unusual New Moon in your sign on Nov. 20.

Today’s weekly horoscope is based on the chart for Mercury stationing retrograde, which begins Sunday and ends the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. The regrograde goes from early Sagittarius, past Mars, and into late Scorpio. The Sun is moving through the middle degrees of Scorpio and today is the astronomical cross-quarter of Samhian.
