Student recovering from a taste of the one canister of tear gas that was popped a few minutes before I arrived. I'm not sure what prompted the use of gas, though I had a feeling it was there to remind everyone that it was available at any time. However, there is quite a lot of power in the ability of a few people with an issue to create a major disruption, and city officials know that.
