Saturn Square Neptune: It's Better Than They're Saying
Dear Planet Waves Reader:
Last night I sent an introduction to 2016's astrology and my Vision Quest project. I am inviting you, personally, to join me on a quest to find your vision.
In that letter I mention one of the defining aspects of 2016, Saturn square Neptune. Saturn is in Sagittarius and Neptune is in Pisces; this is a potent meeting of energies.
I would caution you, though, that many astrologers will take a negative view of this aspect. It's a kind of interpretation trap; this often happens with difficult to understand, challenging aspects. If you read anything negative about this aspect, I suggest asking yourself if there's not a better interpretation possible.
Here is how I see it. Saturn square Neptune represents the dissolving of established thought forms. There's a lot of talk now about doing something about the patriarchy -- this aspect is close to that. It's about how nearly all firm, solid or inflexible thought forms are going to melt like the Wicked Witch of the West.
Of course, she didn't like that a bit. But you will benefit immensely. One of the most challenging elements of Saturn square Neptune is the feeling of a kind of spiritual confusion -- that is, not knowing what you believe. You may have been firm in your beliefs one day and suddenly you're not so sure. This is part of the process.
Later in the year, Saturn makes a square to Chiron. In my next letter I will tell you about my adventure going back to one of my earliest texts for information about that: Barbara Hand Clow's first book, called Chiron: Rainbow Bridge Between the Inner and the Outer Planets.
Hint: Saturn square Chiron is a vastly important aspect in the charts of people born right after WW II. It's all about the question of who dominates the family, mother or father? And that had implications on society.
Catch you soon.
w/love
