"If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will."
-- Frederick Douglass

If Your Birthday is Feb. 14
(The Day of the Cool Quip) | Aquarius Birthday Reading | All Other Signs
True commitment comes from within. It's not imposed from the outside, and it's rarely spoken in words. Rather, it's demonstrated in actions. It offers more than it asks, and seeks to understand more than to be understood. You've reached a point of maturity where you can embody these bold ideals not as a goal, but as the only thing that makes sense.
Current Aquarius Weekly Horoscope
The bigger your plans, the more they may evoke your insecurities. This is typical even of high achievers, though you may want to gain some insight into the issue. Consider two possibilities: one is that you're confusing your potential success with your self-worth.

Current Aquarius Monthly Horoscope
You don't need a conspiracy theory to understand your life. It's a fact that the elements of your existence have come together by design, most of which was based on your own intentions, choices and actions.

Written in the Planets
How good are you at expressing your relationship needs when it comes to platonic friendships and other social situations? Do you ever experience jealousy in friendships? Today's conjunction between the Sun and Juno in Aquarius might serve to make you more expressive on that score. It's also possible that Juno's social justice themes could emerge in a way that you identify very closely with, and perhaps model through your behavior in a group of some kind. With the two planets in a sextile to Uranus in Aries, see if you can let new, unexpected experiences or insights about yourself shed some illumination.
You can now get instant access to the first four signs of the 2018 Planet Waves annual, The Art of Becoming -- with more to follow. Order all 12 signs here to read your Sun, Moon and rising sign and those of loved ones, or choose your individual signs here.
Daily Horoscope for February 14, 2018 | By Eric Francis Coppolino
If Today is Your Birthday
True commitment comes from within. It's not imposed from the outside, and it's rarely spoken in words. Rather, it's demonstrated in actions. It offers more than it asks, and seeks to understand more than to be understood. You've reached a point of maturity where you can embody these bold ideals not as a goal, but as the only thing that makes sense. You share a birthday with Frederick Douglass, Florence Henderson, and Carl Bernstein.
Aries (March 20-April 19) -- Over the next few days, you will need to evaluate your beliefs carefully, and find the false ones. This is not easy, since belief is usually as invisible as air, and equally taken for granted. Yet it's necessary to know when you're expressing fact or opinion, and make sure both are grounded in reality.
Taurus (April 19-May 20) -- You're in the perfect position to coordinate some large, complex project. The way to do this is to calmly stay in communication with everyone, and suss out the status of their work, or their point of view. Once you know where people are at, they will be much more manageable.
Gemini (May 20-June 21) -- You may be involved with something, though unsure how that happened. If you take just a little distance, you will see the situation for what it is. The question to ask yourself, now and going forward for the next few months, is: how does investing yourself in something advance your long-range plans?
Cancer (June 21-July 22) -- You do what you do because it's the right thing. Getting paid is secondary to your integrity. That has a deep effect on others, who need to have such an example to even believe this is possible. You're about to discover that you have more company in this venture than you may think.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) -- You may have an ominous feeling about a relationship, though the best response is to raise your awareness rather than to pull back in fear. You may not have actual control over the situation, though you have considerable influence -- in your ability to listen, speak and understand.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) -- The momentum of change is strong, and you don't need to push anything. Yet you want to guide your craft gently rather than just drifting. Do that by directing your mind first, by connecting with justice and advocacy as the core principles of your life. You know the truth matters, so live that way.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) -- If you want to tap your creativity, you need to get out of your familiar and established patterns. You have help now, in the form of a solar eclipse that will give you a glimpse at many other possibilities. Don't keep score. Rather, improvise and work with the idea that there are no mistakes.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) -- You draw more power than you may recognize from the feeling of belonging to others. Yet events of the next couple of days may demonstrate the potential problems with that. You need to stand on your own, and to do so without seeking the approval of others. That's the whole point.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) -- Mars in your sign is making a tense aspect to Neptune. Here, the planet of drive and motivation meets the planet of fog and denial. This is a caution against doing anything that may impair your judgment. You live by decisions, and those call for being aware of things as they are, right now.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) -- People have a lot of ideas about money, and most of them don't work very well. This week's astrology will help you set a pattern for at least the next six months, and the message is to acquire some better financial information. The way things were always done is rarely the best way to do them now.
Aquarius Solar Eclipse Reading from Planet Waves
Dear Friend and Reader:
I've just finished the Aquarius audio reading. It's now available for instant access.
This is a separate project from the annual edition, different in every way. This is a 75-minute astrology reading in two sessions, based on Thursday's solar eclipse in your sign -- the last solar eclipse in Aquarius until Feb. 17, 2026.
|
Chart for Thursday's solar eclipse. The monograph behind it is by the German philosopher Dieter Duhm. |
This chart has a lot to say about relationships, self-esteem, family and ancestral matters. I do my best to help you orient inwardly to experience these dimensions of growth and healing not only as real, but as accessible, workable places to focus your energy and time.
Your reading is still available at 33% off, for $44. After the eclipse the price will go up to $66, where we will leave it.
My audio readings are some of the most unusual astrology you'll encounter. I believe they go deeper than the work that most professional astrologers do, reaching the spiritual essence of the chart's message, though without the need for a natal chart. This reading will stand up to many playings.
Doing this work takes experience and preparation; if sold as "self help" these readings would be going for many times the price. My intention is to keep them accessible and affordable.
I've prepared a sample of the reading lasting about six minutes, which you can play as an mp3, or download as a zip file. The music is an original piece by Vision Quest, the Planet Waves in-house ensemble.
My method of reading opens up so many dimensions that I could devote hours to each chart. Yet this reading distills certain vital messages, catching you up on the past few months of Saturn in Capricorn, and previewing the transits of Chiron in Aries and Uranus in Taurus.
I'll be following up with a tarot reading in a month or two, a feature that's included with your reading, though is about to be split off as a separate product. That's not delivered on a schedule -- it's ready when it's ready.
Your reading also includes access to last year's audio reading (so that you can review it) as well as The Book of Your Life 2017 written reading.
Thank you for being a Planet Waves customer, and for trusting me as your astrologer.
With love,
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) -- You are who you are: that's the mark of an Aquarius. Yet, for that to work, you must be especially embracing and accepting of others -- not merely tolerant. Those who are truly individuals make it easier for everyone else to express their unique nature, and that's one of your core purposes.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) -- You know what you want, and what you don't want. You know all the ways you want to make changes in your life. You've been patient, and you're about to have some help shifting the patterns that have held you to the past. For now, the best thing to do is to ride the energy rather than push.
