"We all know that Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand. The artist must know the manner whereby to convince others of the truthfulness of his lies. If he only shows in his work that he has searched, and re-searched, for the way to put over lies, he would never accomplish anything."

If Your Birthday is Oct. 25
(The Day of Substantive Form) | Scorpio Birthday Reading | All Other Signs
You must stand up for what means the most to you: the causes, the people, and the ideas. It's too easy for you to remain silent, thinking someone will finally speak out and take action. Yet in all that you do, particularly your most intimate relationships, you must be cautious about jealousy. You don't need it, nor does it help anyone you care about.

Written in the Planets
If the Scorpio Sun's conjunction to the object Typhon (overnight into this morning) signified your awareness of some level of emotional storm -- perhaps one you've kept hidden from others -- keep your finger on that pulse. Today's sextile between Venus in Libra and the Great Attractor in Sagittarius suggests it's possible to express such things in a relationship in a balanced, fair way that cannot be 'attacked'. Grace is the watchword here. With the Sun approaching a conjunction to Jupiter in Scorpio tomorrow, you can approach the situation with some shrewd optimism. Just remember: your personal growth does not happen at the expense of others. The more you can include them in your journey, the greater the benefit to all involved.

Planet Waves
Introducing the 20th Annual Edition of Planet Waves
Growth Is Inevitable. Becoming Is an Art Form.
Dear Friend of Planet Waves:
Here's the thing: Life goes on. No matter how crazy the world is, we who are alive must keep on living. And that means we must keep growing and becoming.
The more chaotic the world becomes, the more we need a tool that can help us spot the patterns in the chaos -- and that would be astrology. I have long considered astrology just one resource among many potentially useful ones, though with each passing day, the gift of pattern recognition, and how these patterns relate to our lives, is a service that astrology is uniquely suited to provide.
Planet Waves
Me, at my music desk in The Place of the Way, my new studio.
I have begun preparing THE ART OF BECOMING, the 20th annual edition of Planet Waves. This letter will tell you more about the project, which, if all goes reasonably well, will be delivered during the month of January.
Brief note on pricing policy: we offer the best price for those who purchase sooner. The lowest price point will hold through late Saturday night EDT, and increase in $11 increments till we reach the final pre-order price.
My annual readings provide not only insight but spiritual and psychological leverage. I am not here to predict the future, but rather to help you design your future. The project began as an extended January monthly horoscope; it's now more like an astrological novel, written with the pacing and detail of well-crafted fiction writing.
My focus is on love and work: your relationship to yourself, followed by your relationship to others; your professional activities, financial matters and tapping your creativity.
In the end, I consider myself a motivational presenter. I see my job as helping you get excited about your own potential, and describing the specific ways you can manifest your desires into reality.
In the next section, I will describe some of the transits I'll be writing about in THE ART OF BECOMING. I present these events in human language, using technical terms only as necessary -- and explaining everything as I go. As a journalist, I write to be understood.
This is astrology written for humans, in human language, using concrete examples and images.

Daily Horoscope for October 25, 2017 | By Eric Francis Coppolino
If Today is Your Birthday
You must stand up for what means the most to you: the causes, the people, and the ideas. It's too easy for you to remain silent, thinking someone will finally speak out and take action. Yet in all that you do, particularly your most intimate relationships, you must be cautious about jealousy. You don't need it, nor does it help anyone you care about. You share a birthday with Pablo Picasso, Adam Goldberg, and Ciara.
Aries
Aries (March 20-April 19) -- You seem intent on taking action and setting things right in the world. You would be ill-advised to go it alone, however. You need support, and you have support. You need partners who share some common values; and from the look of your solar chart, you have many to choose from.
"One's relationship to change is the underlying reality that determines how one handles transits. This relationship counts for a lot now, and you would be wise to bring it to full awareness. What you're currently experiencing is the culmination of six years of nonstop and ever-increasing energy. All of that has been excellent preparation. Now, you're experiencing the actual threshold, the invocation of your new life."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Taurus
Taurus (April 19-May 20) -- One of the most overlooked though essential facets of relationship is the spiritual connection. This goes deeper than what music you like, what food you prefer, or how much money someone has. It may be the deepest element of all. Today's astrology reminds you that this is the true point of contact.
"You possess actual creativity, actual devotion and a strong tendency to be ethical. If you don't let fear contaminate your mind, you will be able to connect these things in the form of your true vocation. If you are involved in what you consider to be your true vocation, you will have opportunities to go deeper and to bring in something that has the power to change you and change the world around you. That's the mark of truth: it's alive, it's active, it's provocative, and it compels you to establish an ongoing relationship with it."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Gemini
Gemini (May 20-June 21) -- Not everyone shares your work ethic. Not everyone has the abundant energy that comes so naturally to you, especially now. You have the energy and creative mojo to redesign a city, to write a book, or to create a movie. While you're doing those things, help others as you can.
"The two most significant aspects of life -- love, and work -- are coming in at full strength at the moment. You're in a moment unlike any other you've lived through, at least speaking from the viewpoint of your astrology. It's all so much that you might not be so thrilled; you may not see the opportunities in the wild mash-up of factors that are influencing your life. To begin with, I am here to remind you that you're larger than it all."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Cancer
Cancer (June 21-July 22) -- You may feel pulled between the demands of a serious relationship, and the desire to have fun and celebrate love. This is a teaching moment; the contrast is certainly interesting. It's one thing to be committed in a partnership, though the fun zone should be an easy place to get to.
"You are the kind of person who must become your intentions and give everything all you've got. You feel better when you do this, even if you're having to stretch a little. Being half-hearted does not suit you. You are a whole-hearted person, you want to feel that fully, and you want to be appreciated for what you do. This is the essence of self-esteem and it's currently one of the most basic elements of your astrology."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Leo
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) -- Avoid people with competitive attitudes at work today. Just steer clear of them, especially the moment they start keeping score. You have plenty to get done, and you can do it just fine on your own. Your intuition will be right on, as well. You know what's right, and you can see around corners.
"The more you take a proactive and creative role, the less it will feel like changes are happening to you and the more it will feel like you are working with the incoming forces to create the change that you want. Therefore, pay close attention to just what that is: know what you want to change. I suggest you work with two lists: what you want to resolve or eliminate, and what you want to create. Both will happen as part of the same process."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Virgo
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) -- Today's aspects could bring out the super-serious adult in you, or the little child, who so rarely gets to play. Children take a serious approach to play, because it's more fun; and you can take a playful approach to work. Engage with the interesting people around you. Listen to their stories.
"You could say that apart from all the psychological concepts attached to self-esteem, the experience you're looking for is feeling good about who you are. This is a feeling, not a concept. Rather than strive for the feeling, the thing to do is give yourself the experiences that you want; the experiences that will enrich you and help you develop into your personhood. To feel good about yourself, it's vital that you know how to express who you are, and what you feel."

A Lifeline for These Times: Your 2017-18 Libra Birthday Reading
"Today I was listening to last year's reading and I kept feeling that I needed to get this year's reading; I'm so glad I did. It answered everything, or at least helped me to realize I'm okay and actually very excited."
-- Rhonda Benson
Dear Friend and Reader:

When the entire world seems to be losing its collective mind, having somewhere to turn for solace, sanity and a way to make sense of it all is crucial. Resources that enable you to see how your life fits into the bigger picture -- and which give you a sense of your potential, and how to make the most of it -- can truly be a lifeline.

Planet Waves
To that end, Eric recently recorded the two astrology sections of your 2017-18 Libra Birthday Reading (the tarot segment will be ready shortly).

This means you can get instant access to an astrological lifeline that has been crafted specifically for you -- whether you have your Sun, rising sign or Moon in Libra.

Eric designs these readings as a kind of life-coaching, spiritual healing, cheerleading and strategic problem-solving hybrid. You get a clear sense that you belong on this planet at this time for a reason -- and that activating your soul's purpose is entirely doable, even if you face painful challenges. Eric's birthday readings address these issues with clarity, sensitivity and an eye to the greater energetic landscape -- so you can see your path more clearly and take your next steps with confidence and peace.

With Jupiter now in your house of what you value (including your self-esteem), you'll be well-positioned to access and integrate two other major planet sign-changes that directly affect Libra: Saturn entering Capricorn in December of this year, and Chiron entering Aries in April 2018. With these planets ringing the bells of your home-work axis and your self-partner axis, the next 12 months of your life (and beyond) are sure to be dynamic.
"Wow, you have just blown me away. So precise with what l am going through Libra Sun and Libra Moon and you haven't even looked at my chart! Well done, Eric."
-- Judy Newland
I hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to order your 2017-18 Libra Birthday Reading -- before the next price increase (which will occur when the tarot segment is recorded).
Yours & truly,

Amanda Painter

P.S. If you'd like to check Eric's accuracy and review your past 12 months, you're invited to listen to last year's Libra reading, as a gift -- before you purchase your current reading.
Libra
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) -- If you're called upon to take care of a domestic matter today, or to help a partner, prioritize that, and invest actions with some enthusiasm. That's to say, be cheerful if you're called to assist, and offer your services in a spirit of love. That matters more than the task at hand.
"Your workplace must be not just habitable but truly supportive. You simply must like the place where you work, or you risk your mental and emotional health. Others can get by with jobs they hate, or substandard working environments; you cannot. Therefore, invest the time and energy that you need to have a place of work that supports your creativity, your health and your wellbeing."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Scorpio
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) -- Today's Sun-Jupiter conjunction in your sign is a bold reminder of how good your life is. You might need to stop, look around at the world and consciously observe the contrast. Part of your great fortune is how much you know. Just be sure to consciously tap into and use your full intelligence.
"You must gather with people who share common values with you. You can no longer afford to invest your precious time and psychic energy with people who do not embody the highest vibration of what you desire, and know to be true. You will feel better about yourself when you can speak openly about what you value the most, and spend time with those who share your spiritual goals and your purpose for living."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Sagittarius
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) -- Attend to a matter of joint finances today, and figure out where a partner is coming from. Make sure you gently poke and prod and get the whole story, and make sure that you say what you must. Get the numbers out on the table, and you'll have a much better idea how to proceed.
"To succeed, your work plan must have metes and bounds. You must choose the specific things you need to accomplish within a specific timeframe, and these choices must be prioritized. This does not mean that you will follow your plans exactly, and you'll very likely alter your priorities as you proceed. Yet it's essential to start with some organized scheme, so that you have an overview, and you have a first draft to revise."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Capricorn
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) -- Today's aspects are urging you to go out of your way to be fair. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Leave the tip at lunch or, better still, pick up the tab. Forgive minor transgressions. You may also have an opportunity to advocate for someone who truly needs your help or support.
"You are someone who is more connected to the wider flow of the human experience than you might otherwise be. Even if you're not an official leader, or into politics, you are connected (often rather consciously) to aspects of life that extend far beyond yourself. This connection sometimes comes bursting into your life when you're not vaguely interested. Sometimes you feel it as a direct calling, and you may or may not know what to do with that."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Aquarius
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) -- Emphasize cooperation and collaboration in all that you do. You may be feeling isolated today, and you may be feeling misunderstood. Those sensations are an illusion. People care about you; though this will be easier to notice if you come out of your shell and openly care for them.
"Within the morphogenetic fields of your sign is an inbred rebelliousness of mind. This comes with the refusal to accept patterns imposed by others; the capacity to hybridize one's views and have original positions on social and political issues; which in turn leads to a kind of eccentricity that is very much a quality of your nature. So too is a distinct inventiveness, if you can keep your mind awake, alert and young."

-- From your 2017 annual reading by Eric Francis, The Book of Your Life -- which you can read hereEric's beginning work on the 2018 annual edition, and we'll have more news about that soon.
Pisces
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) -- You are getting a glimpse of the future. You are seeing what's possible because it's actually happening. None of this is based on magic or luck. It's all based on your commitment to doing the right thing, and being true to your own potential. Appreciate these days, and learn all you can.
"After many adventures, misadventures, developments, challenges and crises, you've integrated the many seemingly separate facets of who you were into someone who you now most distinctly are. I suggest you make a study of this gradual transformation that's taken over your life, and which is nearly complete. Feel the ways in which you've worked out problems that seemed to have no solution. Notice how your confidence level has increased."
