Daily Horoscope for April 17, 2017 | By Eric Francis Coppolino
If Today is Your Birthday
You are, perhaps mysteriously, starting to come into harmony with yourself. Remember the feeling. It’s the emotional depth of this experience, rather than a mental recognition, that will guide you to stay here all the time, if you can. Both conflict and cooperation with yourself are habits. Choose which one you want to cultivate. You share a birthday with Nick Hornby, Kimberly Elise and Jennifer Garner.
Aries (March 20-April 19) -- If someone from the past reappears in your life, don’t be so fast to write the future. Stay in this moment, which is the only one that exists. In all your relationships, appreciate the gentle touch of miracle and wonder that brought you together. Respect is a foundation of love.
Taurus (April 19-May 20) -- You’re a public person and people see you as such. Remember that when meeting anyone for the first time. You often have a touch of star-quality, in their eyes. That’s a reason why a humble and understated approach works well for you. Let people discover you’re human straight away.
Gemini (May 20-June 21) -- When something is right for you, you know it. When something is not right, you can feel that, too. All you need to do is act on the right information. Recently, you solved a puzzle about your professional life. You got the answer right. Now, you merely need to trust yourself.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) -- You may be wondering what relationship partners have on their mind. Is someone being too possessive for your comfort, or do you need more time to yourself? Before you blame anyone, check into your own feelings. Commitment is a privilege rather than a burden, or it should be.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) -- You’re in the perfect position to negotiate a compromise, whether for you or on behalf of a group. You don’t need to push any issues or even argue. Rather, announce that you’ve got a proposal that solves the problem in a way that works for everyone. The ‘proposal’ bit is important.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) -- You know your mind contains an inner wellspring that flows into a mountain stream. It’s a quality of your creativity that you’ve tapped into at least once, maybe many times. How do you do it? You don’t do anything except gaze at a blank page with a little smile on your lips.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) -- You carry the torch of your own life. And it can be helpful if you decide that’s quite enough. Your role is not to believe in yourself, but rather to use your vision to light your own way forward. Others may see this as a daunting phenomenon. For you, it’s a practical matter.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) -- The inner workings of another person’s healing process will often remain a mystery. The same is true of you. You don’t need to know all the whys and hows even in your own life. When something goes well, let that be its own proof. Remind yourself to make every day (and hour) count.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) -- Your life is always about getting the right blend between energy and structure. Recent experiments have shown you that combining an idea with some planning, time constraint and a modest budget can get unusually good results. That suggests you have no need to waste your precious energy.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) -- Optimism means making the most of a situation. It’s more a process than an emotion. Whether something wonderful or stressful is happening, you can make the most of it, even if that means figuring out what you want and what you don’t want. Such is useful information.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) -- This is a reminder not to be satisfied with just the first answer or seeming breakthrough on a puzzle or issue. Rather, go over your findings and start asking better questions. If you persist, you’ll surprise yourself with what you don’t know; which is to say, what you’re about to find out.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) -- You have the upper hand in any financial arrangement, though you would be wise not to let on. Just let the situation play out until you have an easy opportunity to make your point. You can afford to be patient; that opening will arise at just the right moment and you’ll know what to do.
