Aries (March 20-April 19) — Focus on your single most important goal or idea and let everything else fade into the background. This is the strategy of staying on point and on message, and it involves a selective presentation of the facts when you’re speaking or writing. You know much more than you need to say, or than it’s wise to say. This does not mean you’re deceiving anyone. Focus on the purpose of every communication and be efficient and clear. These same aspects suggest that you must keep your ears on what others are not saying. Your psychic senses are wide open right now. Yet you must never presume a hunch to be correct without confirmation from external circumstances or the fact pattern. Parse out what others say word for word, and leave yourself room to be wrong. Once you have confirmation of what is true, it will feel right and not be calling for rationalization.

Taurus (April 19-May 20) — In a year when I am otherwise advising some caution around your social activities — less is more — you’re in an especially congenial moment. Yet as an old Buffalo politician once said to me, always stay three drinks behind the crowd. That includes any form of propaganda beverage (commonly said to be Kool-Aid). Listen to what people say with some amusement or maybe bemusement. The conspiracy of the day is a distraction, and a game. Focus on the known facts, and acquiring a few of the unknown ones. The current scocpe and scale of your life are on a whole other order of magnitude than the trivia with which people usually occupy themselves. There are very significant changes coming, which will affect who you understand yourself to be, and what you choose to do with your time and energy. Therefore, take in more than you reveal, and always pay special attention to the uncertainty factor in any situation.
Gemini (May 20-June 21) — To say that Sunday’s Pisces New Moon represents a new stage of your professional life is a vast understatement. Yet to move forward will require combining vision and practical action in a way that may seem like mixing oil and water. Saturn and Neptune are involved. After years of pondering this mix of energies, I describe it as a synthesis: “the combination of ideas to form a theory or system.” But it’s not always easy and can require tinkering, trial and error. The result will be something that did not previously exist and may not have a name. However, events and the flow of your thoughts into and through the weekend may provide something tangible to work with. You may even get the vision of a clear path to exactly what you want to do. The way is open. You just need to guide yourself in its direction.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) — Your world is opening wide, and you’re being invited to explore the possibilities. Armchair travel will not suffice; you cannot go anywhere on a screen. You’ll learn the most by getting out of your chair, and rolling or flying to some new place. Even visiting a big library will expand your sense of potential and change your point of view. Why a library rather than just sitting at your computer? You’ll find out when you get there — and have the unusual experience of information kept in a real place you can walk around in. The same is true for any geographic place you visit; your mind and vision will expand and with that, you’ll have new visions for your journey through existence. In all things, reach further than you think you could ever go, because you’re very likely to get there. Any limits are purely in your mind.
Leo (July 22-Aug. 23) — There are significant developments brewing — and it’s clear that you know you can make tremendous strides toward goals you value highly. However, before you get there, it’s important that you get clear on certain personal and business situations that require airing out. You will only be limited in what you can achieve by the lack of clarity with important partners and associates. So settle all unfinished business, and determine who you want to be on your team. Even people in seemingly minor roles can have a profound impact on you, whether positive or negative. So you must know who everyone is, why they are there, and what they want. And make sure you know what you want and expect of them — and then those expectations must be put in some form they can be referred to in the future. Writing would be a good start. These days, handshakes are not enough.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sep. 22) — Over the next week or two, there will be plenty of shuffling, rearranging and redecorating in a situation with a significant other. It’s crucial that you pay attention to what is true rather than what you want to be true. The difference may seem subtle, until you realize that it’s not. Often you have projected your own integrity and good intentions onto others, only to trip over the cord and suddenly the movie stops. Help yourself by noticing when you’re making assumptions, and then stop and ask a few questions. Then evaluate the responses over several days. Neptune is very active in your chart right now, and anything involving this planet tends to develop like an old-school photograph slowly coming into view as the paper floats around in a chemical bath. Then you can study the photo many times and see new things. That is the approach to take — no snap judgments about anything.
Libra (Sep. 22-Oct. 23) — Right now everything is a warmup for the events of April. Therefore, keep practicing at whatever you do, and make sure your house and paperwork are in order. Invest every day in tidying up, and keeping up with the details of your life. Prepare for the future by simplifying and removing obstacles. Get your finances in order to the point where you know how much you have and how much you owe. With the Sun moving through Pisces, the sign related to your health and wellness, make some needed adjustments to your diet, which may involve both eating less, and sticking to foods that resemble what your grandparents ate. Then, patiently move forward. You don’t have to worry if things seem too quiet or not eventful enough. When the Sun enters your opposite sign Aries in two weeks, you will know that you’re heading for the adventure of a lifetime.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22) — The current abundance of planets in Pisces is likely to be giving you a case of spring fever. Mixing some fun and recreation into every single day will make you more efficient and more interested in your work. Your professional commitments align you with who you are and sponsor your life — and there is plenty more you want to do. It’s going to be a busy few months, and you’re likely to succeed in several unusual ways you may not have been expecting. And when things are moving fast, you will be happy you have cultivated the habit of chilling out a little, and especially of immersing yourself in music and art every day. Find ways to explore and play where there is something unpredictable or some creative risk involved. You have a complex mind and also you’re into your senses, so you have to keep things interesting.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 22) — You may be uncertain which matters more: your complicated thoughts, or your complicated feelings. I would propose that both are idle activity compared to anything that involves making a decision and taking action. This is a pretty good litmus test for whether you’re spinning your wheels: asking yourself what is there to be decided, and what is there to be done? If you don’t have a good answer to either of those, you’re probably experiencing anxiety. You can shift that by moving to a place where you meet decisions and actions — although those are more confrontational than you may want. Still, there are decisions to be made and you may be avoiding them. One of them involves your domestic situation. Do you really want to be where you are, and why or why not? At least consider your situation carefully and be honest with yourself.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 20) — It’s important that you not assume you are right, and not assume you’re wrong. Rather, the thing to do is be clear about the facts on either side of an issue you’re debating or considering. Your intuition matters — over time. It has a role at two points in any worldly process: your initial hunch, and then verifying at the end of the discussion whether your reasoning and evaluation add up to something worthwhile. Between the two, you must do the work of making sure you understand your options, and ask real questions that get real answers. This is more clarity than most people can muster up, and other aspects suggest that you might not be so interested in working for that kind of clarity. But you can if you want, and it will pay dividends in the end, and along the way. The most important of those is setting personal policies that keep your life simpler in the long run.

The Solstice Point — 2024 Astrology Studio for Capricorn — is a special edition helping you put the pieces of Pluto in Capricorn together. I look forward, but this is mostly a review and debriefing of your experience since 2008. I will highlight key dates and take a close look at what this transit has meant. I will include a review of Chiron in Aries as well as new factors now in Capricorn that will be present well into the next decade. This is a distinct reading covering different material than Somewhere In Between for Capricorn.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 19) — You may think you have to make a fast decision and take action immediately, though that is not true. It’s just a feeling, and following what it dictates could work significantly against you. Therefore, slow down and size up your situation carefully. Take a careful accounting of your budget and other financial considerations. Such will provide you with information you’re not expecting to find. And once you are in possession of that, you will know exactly what to do with it. The result will be something entirely new, an actual idea that you can take action on. However — whatever it may be — you will benefit from a slight delay; like, give it a month or so. During that time, you’re likely to have a series of breakthroughs leading to revisions that will add to the value of what you’re doing. And never hesitate to test a concept with an actual, physical experiment.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20) — Sunday’s stunning New Moon in your birth sign is the beginning of a series of events that favor and energize Pisces in a way that I’ve never seen before. Yet as someone once wrote, “The stars in their courses may guide us, though it’s you who must row the boat.” That means to do what you know must be done. Keep yourself organized, so that disorder does not slow you down. It’s worth the investment of slowing down and sorting your affairs for an hour every day to ensure that you get maximum use of your thought-power and time. Much of the external support that will benefit you is available locally, in your immediate surroundings. If you find yourself having a particular need, look in your home first; then on your street; then in your neighborhood. There are also business opportunities in your immediate environment. If you think your town ain’t got no heart, you just gotta poke around.
