If you\u2019ve been feeling at all like you\u2019re not sure if you\u2019re coming or going, or as though one or another part of your life is in flux or in some odd kind of suspended limbo, there\u2019s good reason. Not only are we still getting our bearings from Mercury stationing direct and Mars stationing retrograde as the weekend began, but two transpersonal planets, Saturn and Jupiter, are mirroring the dance.<\/p>\n

Saturn stationed retrograde in late Scorpio yesterday. Just four days later, Jupiter stations direct in Cancer at 5:42 am EST March 6. They are part of the same energy system, described by Eric as \u201cthe two hands of God: Jupiter pressing out, Saturn stabilizing things.\u201d<\/p>\n

We need both kinds of force in life, on very basic levels to do very basic things. Think of the push and pull of muscle against bone within our bodies, or the dynamic pressure of the blood within our veins.<\/p>\n

In dance, you can only exert so much force on another person (a push) without sending yourself off-balance — unless you combine that pushing out with a simultaneous drawing in or down of your energy toward the center of the Earth (think of using tai chi in its two-person contact form). Even artistic ideas and impulses generally need some kind of structure within which to play out or push against, lest there be so much momentum in so many directions that the lack of focus results in a sprawling mass with no cohesion, no beginning-middle-end, no relatable point or meaning.<\/p>\n

That the two necessary, complimentary forces of Saturn and Jupiter are mirroring each other\u2019s shift of apparent direction from two water signs says something about both our relationship to water itself, and our collective emotional realm. Neither is without its troubles at this time, although individuals are awakening all over the planet.<\/p>\n

We see how desperately we need to start treating the planet\u2019s water with greater care and respect; so too do we see how imperative it is to deconstruct, understand, own, and clear our emotional fields of baggage and toxic, unconscious patterns. It would seem that as Saturn draws us into the depths to dredge out the sludge and bring it to the light at the surface, Jupiter offers the impulse, means and momentum to ripple that work outward.<\/p>\n

But we can only extend with Jupiter out as far as our Saturn container is deep. Each makes the other possible in ways that are sustainable, productive and necessary. We may be at a moment of suspension as Saturn is only beginning to move retrograde and Jupiter is about to station direct, but it\u2019s not a stasis — rather a moment to get your bearings before engaging their energies more fully.<\/p>\n
