As Eric noted yesterday, there is a grand water trine in the sky now, with planets entering Cancer providing subtle changes in its flavor. Sometimes a grand trine, which is already all about flow, can start to feel a little bit like a whirlpool — especially in an element like water, which is itself about flow. On the one hand, this is great for getting in touch with your \u2018feeling body\u2019. On the other hand, it\u2019s important to notice what you are getting \u2018caught up in\u2019 — especially since Mars is moving into an aspect with Neptune that could be a little tricky.<\/p>\n

Mars in Gemini is square Neptune in Pisces (as is Pallas Athene, also in Gemini). In fact, Mars will be exactly conjunct Pallas and square Neptune for Saturday\u2019s Gemini New Moon. Mars aspects are often a more palpable as they approach than they are when they\u2019re exact, so this is a good one to watch for and get a handle on now — or as soon as you start feeling it.<\/p>\n

What does Mars in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces feel like? It may take the form of a question, or a subtly nagging doubt: \u201cCan I really trust my feelings\/intuition?\u201d<\/p>\n

The answer — especially with the grand water trine in the background, amplifying our feelings — is: \u201cYes — but verify it, and remember that not everyone is honest.\u201d <\/p>\n

Since squares are generally felt internally, you have to account for your own denial, too. This is where many of us can trip ourselves up and get stuck in a perpetual loop of second-guessing and self-doubt. Is this dream really my heart\u2019s desire? Am I just co-opting what everyone else seems to want (or thinks I should want)? Am I stuck in a vision of past desires that no longer fit who I am now?<\/em><\/p>\n

The grand trine is a multiplier, so you\u2019ll want to be careful what you get caught up in. If you find yourself in conflict with yourself, check in: are you sure you\u2019re arguing about what you think<\/em> you\u2019re arguing about? What does your intuition say about the real issue?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You may have to sidestep the mental level of this inner dialogue in order not to get caught up in a loop. That may mean \u2018going deeper\u2019 through techniques like meditation, yoga or energy-clearing modalities. Or since Mars is involved, it could be that physical exercise can ground you, tuning you in to your body\u2019s wisdom. Breathing deeper, sweating out some toxins and energizing yourself on a cellular level is never a bad thing. <\/p>\n

Moments of clarity can come at odd moments, and often they\u2019re a result of directing the mind away from the issue at hand just enough so that our inner peripheral vision can perceive and receive what we already know to be true. When it comes to disrupting patterns of mental and emotional stuckness, sometimes simply altering how we usually move through physical space can open up a new pathway for understanding, insight and a sense of alignment with ourselves. If possible, take steps this week to directly address any tension you\u2019re feeling. But if trying to decide how to solve the tension leads to paralysis, do something else<\/em> differently that\u2019s totally unrelated to the issue. That\u2019s when intuition and feeling-sense can carry you along constructively, rather than getting you caught in an emotional whirlpool. The idea is to feel good — but to be honest with yourself in doing so, rather than trying to escape any unpleasantness.<\/p>\n
