We now have six planets (and points) in Gemini including the Sun, which is presenting the feeling of many options, points of view or activity. The last of the eclipses has passed for now, and the sensation of pressure leaning on certain situations in your life may have dropped off. Gemini can be a beautifully social time. It’s sometimes described as being so in a surface way, though that’s not actually true. What it describes is a dialog or relationship that might be ‘everyday’ and can also be profound.<\/p>\n

At the moment there’s also one last holdout in late Taurus: Mars. Today Mars squares (90-degree aspect) the centaur planet Nessus in Aquarius at 1:49 pm EDT. Square aspects often manifest as internal tension that we resolve by taking action.<\/p>\n

Nessus, a longterm visitor in Aquarius, has been manifesting mainly as forms of peer pressure or social conditioning. There\u2019s a lot of unfriendly conditioning going around — from politics, from advertising, from a climate of fear, as frustration. There are social movements that are trying to get off the ground; they are frequently drowned out by static.<\/p>\n

Whether collectively or in personal relationships, Nessus can bring out shadow material — mostly forms of fear that have been abandoned in the psyche. Mars square Nessus may be provoking some deep subject matter. If you\u2019re experiencing anything like that, go below the surface and look for what is underneath the apparent situation.<\/p>\n

Try not to be fooled by appearances, that is, by what you\u2019re seeing or feeling on the surface. The potential for healing is deeper in, and it\u2019s accessible. To get there, it\u2019s necessary to give a voice to what is really at issue, what\u2019s been forsaken or neglected.<\/p>\n

A series of planets are about to trine Nessus, offering an opening to do just that. It may be challenging to go from how you\u2019re feeling now to a space where you can communicate about it, and that communication may not be clear at first. As you speak, write, and most significantly, listen to or read what you\u2019re saying, you can get clues about what you\u2019re really feeling and what you actually need.<\/p>\n

Mars in Taurus is offering some persistence, though I suggest taking it gently. This is not the kind of thing to dig at; it\u2019s the kind of thing to approach gently, even in a circumspect way. Consider a diversity of viewpoints as you do. Listen to yourself. Listen to what others are saying to you and consider what it means to you.<\/p>\n

The thing about dealing with old shadow material is that we\u2019re not exactly taught in school how to work with it. It may be that for you, simply talking with a trusted friend will let you find your own way to the core issue. But don\u2019t be afraid to ask for skilled help from a counselor, mentor or or energetic healer, or to use dialoging \u2018exercises\u2019 beyond plain conversation.<\/p>\n

I suggest you worry less about what something means, and pay attention to what you notice. Give your observations time to percolate through and to gradually make sense. In time, they will.<\/p>\n
