As the Virgo Full Moon takes place on Monday (at 3:26 pm EST), we are being invited to finish cleaning out the attic on some long-standing issues, putting us into contact with our deep inner selves. Many questions may arise during this time, particularly surrounding how we are dealing or not dealing with the people and issues in our lives. Ultimately, what we are being asked to address comes back to our relationship with our authentic selves.<\/p>\n

The Virgo Full Moon takes place across the Pisces-Virgo axis with the Moon in Virgo and the Sun opposite in Pisces. Exactly square both the Sun and the Moon is Jupiter, the ruler of Pisces. It is currently located in Gemini, bringing quite a bit of energy to this already charged Full Moon.<\/p>\n

Imagine being a fully charged 80-watt generator looking for a large building to power. That describes this Full Moon square Jupiter. There\u2019s an energy build up that\u2019s pushing for release. This could feel exciting and also potentially overwhelming; I suggest working with this energy consciously, not getting sucked into the seemingly intense emotions. Rather, take a moment to pause before you act. Collect all the information you can, then double check that you have all your facts right. <\/p>\n

Mercury will be retrograde in Pisces at the time of the Full Moon (it stations retrograde tomorrow, Feb. 23 at 4:41 am EST) and in a conjunction with Mars. This is a reminder that even if there is a sense urgency or an immediate call to action, it\u2019s worth taking the extra time to fully understand both the landscape of the situation and your actions. What would be the ramifications of the steps you take? <\/p>\n

Take this Full Moon slow and steady. Stay focused on giving plenty of time for information to manifest and to fully flesh out the ideas that arise. If you feel pulled in two simultaneous directions, pause and check in with your vision for your life. There are plenty of options currently available, and quite a few may resolve any perceived impasse. Seeing them may simply be a matter of looking to the side or using your peripheral vision, rather than keeping your sights locked on the problem or decision at hand (or on anyone who’s seemingly challenging you).<\/p>\n

Chiron is also in the mix of the Full Moon. It’s conjunct the Sun, bringing us in touch with our deeper selves; or, rather, more like projecting our deeper selves onto the wall for us to examine. Think of your inner self as the film, Chiron the projector, and the Sun as the light bulb illuminating the film. Your inner self is being illuminated and magnified in a way that lets you clearly take a look at it and note how well you are aligned with what is truest for you. <\/p>\n

Regarding when the Sun and Chiron meet up, Chiron scholar Melanie Reinhart wrote in her book Chiron and the Healing Journey<\/em>, \u201cThe key theme here is that Chiron-Sun aspects prompt us to become aware of our deeper self, as various layers of \u2018identity\u2019 are peeled back. We are not given the luxury of basking in the glory of a strong ego, but instead are forced to find our own deeper centre.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the Full Moon, we are being asked to hold space for the examination of our relationships, ourselves and how well our authentic selves are being projected out into the world. It\u2019s like we get to have our own personal creative director on speed dial providing feedback. There is plenty of information and unlimited creative ideas available to sort out perceived tensions or impasses that arise. The step for us to take is to pick up the phone and start a dialogue with our deeper selves.<\/p>\n
