Which representatives will attempt to block votes to raise the debt ceiling letting the entire global economy collapse in flames?

Even though both parties partake and benefit from the million dollar Super PACs this campaign season, I believe only the Republican Party is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the banking industry and the interests of the 1%. Still today, they listen to their own music with ear buds so deeply imbedded in their skulls that they need surgery to remove them. Good luck trying to get them to see reason, common sense, or to make policies that will lead to jobs, which would create for them the Armageddon-like scenario of improving the economy under President Obama’s watch.

It is not new that billionaires continue to pump hundreds of millions of dollars into lobbying for their pet legislation on Capitol Hill. It goes without saying that they would support their main boy and one of their club by underwriting Mitt Romney’s presidential bid in a new attempt to buy the country.

What is new is that after all we’ve been through these past few years under the gorgeously hot Uranus-Pluto square cutting through bullshit like a hot knife, we’ve not only been seeing through it, some politicians are paying attention. When the ad “Firms” appeared on the web earlier this week, there was collective gasp of disbelief that the Democrats had actually grown a spine. The ad was an artfully devastating summary of Mitt Romney’s history as a vulture capitalist for Bain Capital. It summed up in less than a minute the economic disaster caused by Bain’s primary practice: to purchase American companies, close them down, and send their jobs overseas — the very essence of what happened over the last twenty years. The punchline: “Mitt Romney is not the solution. Mitt Romney is the problem.”

Indeed, this has been true for years before President Obama and even George W. Bush. We have an alarming joblessness rate and a man running for president who profited from it.

The ad comes on the heels of the shit storm already brewing over Romney’s refusal to release his tax returns from the last 12 years, and has been followed by a Super PAC ad called “Stage,” where a man describes how the workers of his once successful company were asked to build a stage where Bain Capital representatives would come to announce that their plant was closed and that they were fired. This ad, with over a million hits its first day on the web, was so potent that ABC News called it “The Bain ad Romney should fear most”. Upton Sinclair would have been proud.

It makes you think there must be an astrologer somewhere at work in the basement of the Democratic National Committee. Nancy Sommers at Starlight News had this to say:

During early 2012, Neptune moved into a square with Romney’s Ascendant (00 Gemini 43). The first crossing was in February, and, although the influence remains all year, the next crossing will be a prolonged and much more potent transit running from late August through mid-December 2012. This is extremely problematic for Romney, especially as there are also numerous Saturn transits in his chart during this time. What it suggests is that the growing theme of his dishonesty and his lack of core beliefs and moral strength are likely to gain increasing traction and sour the electorate. There will be confusion, gaffes, shifting positions, and attempts at deception, as well as self-deception.

She goes on to say that even this will not be the end of Romney’s trials:

Possibly even more troubling for the former governor is the solar eclipse that fell exactly on his Ascendant (00 Gemini 43) on May 20, 2012. Historically, a solar eclipse is seen as heralding trouble, often bringing in very unfortunate circumstances somewhat outside the normal range of difficulties for up to a year after the actual event. But an eclipse is also somewhat of a wild card, so one should use caution in basing predictions upon it. This particular eclipse (00 Gemini 21) was square to Neptune (3 Pisces 05) when it occurred, and the Neptune transit in the fall will be coming back across the exact square of the eclipse from September 8 through November 11. It seems likely that the worst effects of the eclipse will occur during that time. It is not impossible to imagine some kind of serious revelation, perhaps from those tax returns, that causes an unraveling of Romney’s candidacy in that period.

I have nothing against Mitt Romney. In fact, I kind of feel sorry for him, but in this world people like Mitt Romney will survive comfortably even in their discomfort, and he doesn’t need our pity. Romney is the problem, or a problem, and he’s also the problem’s latest puppet.

The real problem remains that money has our democracy in a choke hold. This election and our government under Citizen’s United is now blatantly being bought by the highest bidder(s) who will use us, our natural resources and the future of our children as collateral in a high risk game. But, if the stars prove right this election season could serve as an expensive lesson to those who think they can pull that off.

That premise, that you can buy the government you want, needs to be wiped cleaned from the consciousness of our republic if we are to remain one. This is why we should use the square energies of those two potent outer planets of revolution, with the assistance of a solar eclipse on someone’s ascendant, to help us make that point to our advantage, and change it for the good. We need the first presidential election under Citizen’s United to fail the very people who stand to benefit from that Supreme Court decision. It’s about time for this problem to be solved.

It’s hard to witness the state of American politics — the daily activities in Washington or the 2012 general election campaign — without the uncomfortable sensation that you live in a banana republic.
