How was your Pisces Moon weekend? It’s not quite over until the Moon ingresses Aries Monday morning at 8:14 am EDT. If you’re reading this Sunday evening, you may not be feeling too motivated — that’s the feeling of the Moon being void of course. The Moon has been out of aspect to major planets all day Sunday — though two potent asteroids were in the picture — Vesta and Juno, so you may have had some interesting revelations about sex and relationships.<\/p>\n

That void of course phase ends whenever the Moon changes signs, resets to 00 degrees and begins a new cycle of aspects. By now you may be familiar enough with the crosses of the heavens (or at least the cardinal cross, home of the Uranus-Pluto square) to know that when the Moon enters a cardinal sign (such as Aries) the energy and pace of events picks up.<\/p>\n

That’s true by virtue of the Moon in Aries, which is feisty as it is (think: Betty Dodson, Jerry Garcia) though through the morning the Moon is opposing Mars in Libra, which could range from an argument for its own sake to 20 minutes of sweaty sex for its own sake to your brisk Monday morning workout. However today is not the day to try curling the 50 pound dumbells for the first time; with Mars so focused, you have to watch out for dropping things, banging into things, falling down, etc.<\/p>\n

After its opposition to Mars (at 2:41 pm EDT), overnight Monday to Tuesday (Monday at 11:44 pm EDT) the Moon makes a square to Pluto in Capricorn and a conjunction to Uranus in Aries. Yes, this happens later in the day or early Tuesday, but we’re right the gust of the energy — especially with Mars in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

The Moon is on, in, penetrated by and wrapped up in the Uranus-Pluto square. If you’re still wondering, “what’s that, I’ll have to Google that one some time,” suffice it to say this long-term aspect is why you’re so restless (and will be till well past 2015 unless you find a creative way to burn off some of that energy; and here is your Google search<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Moon moves quickly though, and more represents the ongoing currents of emotions, sensations and social interactions that we experience. Bigger stuff happens when Sun-Moon aspects team up with planetary aspects — and that’s what we’re building towards right now.<\/p>\n

Through the week we’re approaching a cluster of events that includes Mars square Pluto and opposite Uranus; Mercury stationing retrograde; and the Cancer New Moon. With those lurking in the future you may be feeling restless, as if something you can feel but cannot quite identify is brewing.<\/p>\n

I suggest you not get too caught up in distractions this week and stay on top of your work, so that you can stay on top of having fun during the somewhat chaotic astrology of next weekend. Keep organized, pay your bills (make sure you haven’t forgotten any) and if you get a chance to do some extra hours, early in the week is better.<\/p>\n

We get the hot energy of the dauntless Aries Moon pushing us along, and if you’re even vaguely efficient you’ll have no problem getting a jump on things and giving yourself time to have fun as well.
