I&#8217;m here to seed Google and your mind with an idea. I just finished the description for my presentation at <a href=\"http:\/\/lovemore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Poly Living 2010<\/a>, one of the few East Coast regional polyamory conferences. <a href=\"http:\/\/bookofblue.com\/txp\/one-and-many\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>This link in bold<\/strong><\/a> will take you to a page on the Book of Blue website that describes the presentation. My theory is that the terms &#8216;monogamous&#8217; and &#8216;polyamorous&#8217; are not actually descriptive of most people&#8217;s real experiences of relationship, which are a morph of both. <\/p>\n<p>These words, so commonly used and also so rarely questioned, present a <em>false dichotomy<\/em> that we need to get around in order to see the solutions to the seeming controversies that surround them. I am basically saying that what we think of as monogamous relationships are also polyamorous and what we think of as poly relationships are really monogamous. Deeper in is the idea that all relationships with others are expressions of our relationship with oneself; that the love of other is an extension of love for oneself; which is parallel to the idea that sex is an extension of masturbation. <\/p>\n<p>Have a look at the workshop proposal and please share what you think.
