We look at Bucky’s natal chart (a Cancer with the Sun conjunct Jupiter), as well as his inventions and ideas. The edition also includes an article on Fuller’s version of the world map, an excerpt from Cosmos & Psyche by Richard Tarnas, the weekly horoscope and a new feature called “This Week in 2011.”

For those new or old to Planet Waves, this edition is one of those perfect reasons to subscribe or resubscribe.

We all know the economy is tight and that the price of a gallon of dinosaur juice is competing with drinking a cup of milky foam. We think that sources of ideas and relevant information are the best value for your dollar right now, because ideas are what are going to get us to the future.

And here is a question. Have you ever wondered why you pay $40 a month for 1,000 channels of television — and it’s still boring? On our huge planet, do you think someone could invent a news program that does something other than say the same thing over and over around the clock? Have you ever wondered why television is so ridiculous?

I’ll tell you: it’s the agenda. Television is designed to sell you things you don’t need. You pay for the privilege of being pounded by blocks of advertising blasted into your house at twice the normal volume.

At Planet Waves, we give you something interesting to think about, quietly. You are the main sponsor. We offer you ideas, astrological perspectives, information about new planets, enlightened views on sexuality, artwork and photography and a web service that actually answers its phones and email. We offer horoscopes so good, thousands of people pay for them (30 million websites give them away free).

And no advertising. That’s right, no advertising. When people ask me why, I tell them, “It’s ugly, it’s unnecessary and it messes with your mind. You don’t want it if you can avoid it.” We may be the only ad-free place in the world right now. Except of course for this note telling you we’re ad free, but otherwise, how would you know?

To learn more about subscribing, check this link. Our subscriptions are not only a lot of fun, extremely useful and give you far more than you’re expecting; they are also guaranteed — if you don’t like it, contact us for a full refund. You have nothing to lose, but we think there are much better reasons to subscribe than that.

And if you need a comp, that program still exists. Please write to Clare Miller, Planet Waves, PO Box 744, New Paltz, NY 12561 and she will set you up.

I’ll catch you again Monday. Have a great weekend.

Yours & truly,

Today’s Oracle takes us to April 13, 2007 – LIBRA – Weekly

When others reflect back to you in what seems to be the mirror of relationships, they are doing so in mirror image. We don’t often stop to consider that the so-familiar reflection that we see every morning and on every elevator is not what other people see; it is the visual opposite. In many respects the same holds true when people reflect our emotions back to us. They look and feel similar to our own; they are usually right-side up. They are a picture that we can look at and learn from. Yet more than look, I suggest you consciously strive to learn something. Don’t take on what is not yours, though I suggest you acknowledge what is.

Aspects for Friday 11 July 2008

Venus (27+ Cancer) sextile Amor (27+ Taurus)
Venus (27+ Cancer) sesquiquadrate Ixion (12+ Sagittarius Rx)
Eros (26+ Cancer) quincunx Galactic Center (26+ Sagittarius)
Atlantis (16+ Libra) sextile Juno (16+ Sagittarius Rx)
Sun (19+ Cancer) septile Amor (28+ Taurus)
Ceres (12+ Cancer) quincunx Ixion (12+ Sagittarius Rx)
Venus (28+ Cancer) septile Logos (19+ Virgo)
Mercury (1+ Cancer) square M87 (1+ Libra)
Venus (28+ Cancer) quintile Sisyphus (10+ Libra)
Sun (19+ Cancer) sextile Logos (19+ Virgo)
Mars (6+ Virgo) sextile Hidalgo (6+ Scorpio Rx)
Sun (20+ Cancer) quintile Asbolus (8+ Taurus)

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, WITH THE Mars-Saturn conjunction behind us, I trust that some stuck energy has been moved and we have learned something interesting about ourselves.
