New Site Navigation at Planet Waves

Dear Friend and Reader:

TODAY we installed a new navigation system on most of our websites, consisting mainly of new tabs at the tops of pages. It took some brainstorming, some experience and moving around slices of index card on my desk, but I think we've figured out a way to make things a bit easier.

Here are the tabs, explained. Note, we have added a live help feature under the About tab.

"Cover" points you back to the homepage. If you get lost, click there to start over.

"Login" is where our subscribers can log into all subscriber services. You will be directed to the entry page, where you enter your login and password. This includes the divination oracle, which is available to all weekly subscribers. Everything under the Login tab is subscriber content. The top link takes you to the our Subscription Store.

"Horoscopes" is the former home of our free monthly horoscopes, which are now included as part of both Small World Stories and Planet Waves Astrology News. The letter currently on this page explains why the horoscope is now part of our subscriber areas. If you're a reader of the monthly horoscopes, you have two choices for where to find them -- Planet Waves Astrology News, or Small World Stories.

"Featured" offers our public access webblogs. Scan around -- there is almost always something new here, ranging from sex to politics to astrology to civil rights to environmental issues. Some of these links seem to take you off-site, but they are all websites published by Planet Waves or myself, written by our best writers. This is all free content. Note, the last item down is a cool news browser called PlanetWaves.info. It's a glorified Google News Alerts device that lets you read the latest news from our favorite sources.

"Archives" lists our many projects from years past, such as resource areas, lists of articles, old horoscopes, all kinds of stuff. Here is where you can go on an archeological dig and follow 10 years of news, events and information through the eyes of Planet Waves. This is all free content.

"About" gives you access to an overview of our projects, our corporate contact information, my page in Wikipedia, and our statement about being advertising-free. This includes a link to live online help, when our web developer is awake and working (which is usually). More stuff is coming to this tab.

"Photos" links you to several years of cover galleries. Photography has become an increasingly meaningful part of what Planet Waves is about, and this gives you a look at our best work. There are thousands of photos from the United States, Canada, France, Belgium, England, the Netherlands, Denmark, Greece and many other countries and planets. This is all free content.

The picture tab on the right takes you to Small World Stories, our 2008 annual edition of Planet Waves.

Please send your comments and suggestions to info@planetwaves.net.

Yours & truly,
Eric Francis

In Planet Waves Astrology News: Pluto in Capricorn
Pluto arrives in Capricorn for the first time since the 18th century on Friday. What are the implications of this? Eric Francis looks at the connection between the planet of intense obsession and the sign of corporations and politics. In his article "We Have Met the Enemy," he declares that our real concern is not the One World Government but rather a seemingly harmless predator most often seen on road signs. Plus the weekly horoscope, Mars stations direct, Mercury stations retrograde and more. To get this edition, subscribe to Planet Waves Astrology News.

Squish Over, Amazon! The Planet Waves Subscription Store
After years of tinkering, market research, rocket science and database programming, we are pleased to present a Subscriber Store that will make you want to click, click, click.
