So beautiful; so true. This little You Tube essay was an extention for me of watching the Occupy live stream that you posted a few days ago. I was so struck by the sweetness of the Occupiers in both. Remember that great photo of the 60s protester putting a daisy into the rifle barrel of a soldier at a protest?
I also saw how similar, in a strange way, Zuccati park was to Haight Ashbury (I was there in 1967). Each movement started in a place, but the place ultimately didn’t matter, except in a Neptunian symbolic sense. I have been out of touch with the news for the past couple of days – haven’t even checked into PW – so I haven’t heard if they are going to try to put the tents up again, but I kind of hope they don’t. That breaking down of the structure of the initial phase of the movement represents a kind of liberation – a release of the spirit into the greater community – where ever more brilliant, creative ideas will multiply like….? (what were those furry little animals on an early Star Trek?)
Weren’t the projected light messages onto the building on #N17 great? I wonder what kind of projecter they used. Does anyone know? Kat
… and the people said, “AMEN!”
