POLITICO is reporting:
Legislation to repeal the controversial 17-year-old “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy banning gays from serving openly in the military cleared the major 60-vote hurdle in the Senate on Saturday, all but ensuring the House-passed measure will become law. The vote was 63 to 33.
