Thank you for the information Eric and Rob!
Dear Eric,
It is from Haly Ibn Ridwan’s commentary on Ptolemy’s Tetrabiblos.

I am so happy for you Eric;
I was lucky to have had such feelings some few times, ah…. simply the best.
It is a wonderful thing that you are able to share those personal feelings.
Thank you for asking Rob!

Dear Eric,
Yes I did translate it, although I think there is an error in the Latin. The phrase “necessary and possible” is almost certainly supposed to be “necessary and impossible,” a phrase very commonly used to refer to things that can happen but are not fated or necessary. All of the early modern printed editions are clearly based on the same source which I believe contains this error in the Latin.

(I replied and asked who the author is; awaiting his reply. I love hearing from Rob. I am sure he was one of my past-life teachers. Every time I see him or hear from him, my whole brain lights up with: I am so happy you’re here. Thank you for everything.)
Thank you Eric,
only yesterday I attended to a speech about the use of atrology in psychotherapy, a field in which I have great interest. The speaker was asked by the expert theologist and sinologist audience about a documented “history of astrology”. The speaker was not prepared to that question.

I will run this past Rob today – I don’t have notes. I am sure he will know.
Hi Eric,
I am wondering what the original language of the text would be and how old it is?
