Good eeeeeevening. I’ve just posted the Sagittarius audio to Light Bridge. It’s a 60 minute audio that explores all these planets in Aries, as well as all the centaur planets – and eclipses – in your sign. It’s a blast of inspiration for those of you who are artists or who aspire to creativity, passion and curiosity. Lots and lots about curiosity!

I barter soap with my brother for organic vegetables, which he re-sells at his farmer’s market for a nice profit.
well Jere, ‘cool’ is one way of putting it….I pretty much confound people around here, mainly by walking with my dog on the very sleepy roads, not spraying chemicals on my fields, and not going to church.
the ‘setup’ started working, well, in a selfish way at first, because I needed it to….. my neighbor had all this beautiful, expensive equipment sitting around that was used minimally throughout the year. and then there was me, who didn’t. there are quite a few ‘gentleman’ farmers on one side of the road, that have a really nice spread, all the toys, but are not there on a regular basis, or, frankly, don’t know what the hell they are doing, and need knowledgeable people when they get in trouble. enter the people on the OTHER side of the road, such as myself and other folks who have skills. let’s just say once you jump in and save some calves’ lives, perform minor surgery getting a goat unstuck from a fence, or shit like that, you have some credit. or like my friend Jon, who can fix any piece of equipment with the snap of a finger, saving the owner tons of money. there’s also a septic guy and some people not afraid of manual labor…get my drift?????
it didn’t take me long swiveling my head from one side of the road to the other to figure out the ‘have nots’ could really help out the ‘haves’ by using their invaluable skills (including time, which gentleman farmers don’t have-there’s football on TV) and a win-win situation could be created.
so that’s how it started, and it’s now all the rage because nobody wants to fork out cold hard cash if they don’t have to AND KEY POINT HERE: It makes people Feel Good. It makes people feel CONNECTED. It is amazing the changes I see in the demeanor of people. There was this ‘weekender’ dentist who lives right down from me and he was a prick ordering people around and throwing money at them. Now, he’s like a new man, and you can see he really gets into thinking he his helping in a meaningful way by sharing some of his stuff..plus his wife has a parrot who really loves my veggies…ha!
I’m tellin’ ya….
now I will say, despite its many drawbacks, I do live in a place where deals are made by handshakes and looking someone in the eye. period.
there’s no crazy paperwork or legal this or that – it’s good ‘ole Trust.
and I will say not all the ‘gentleman’ farmers are bad. the farmer who lives right across from me is awesome, and before he retired a couple of months ago he worked at NASA in the shuttle program. interesting conversations- plus he’s cool with a woman working with his cows and teaching him things, which is mind-boggling in any city or state!
bartering/trading is FUN!! highly recommend it with the right folks.
Love ya ! sounds like you have a lot of treasures in your garage/storage…..cool!
peace.
Hey stella, How’s your ‘setup’ work? Is it word of mouth? I’m pretty much a friend/aquaintance trader. I’d like to go beyond and meet new people, perhaps share with them a different way to live.. and perhaps, understand this reality to its full capacity..
..It sounds so cool what you do! I want to do it too. I think we should all be having a good time muckin’ around with what we got!
(I’ve got payments lined up for PW. Luckily I’m in to cash these days,.. not much, but enough!)
Love ya, ALL,
Jere
Jere,
you ROCK. I barter and trade all the time for stuff I need. I set up a little barter/trade coop thingie where I live so people can use expensive agricultural equipment they otherwise would never be able to afford, in exchange for something useful they have (like food items, veterinary skills, or fence repair prowess…ahem!). is working great. unfortunately I have to use some big equipment for what I do, but I don’t pay a dime for it. and this is all happening in an area of the country known for being super conservative and distinctly suspicious of new ideas. (one of the reasons I moved here- I like a CHALLENGE to prove it can be done ANYWHERE)…
must be a Sadge thing!
rock on bro!
peace.
hey jere —
just passed on your request to ms. chelsea & sent you an email.
π
..I’m sorting and looking.. π
Yeah, I probably have about 1500 books. Most of them are really cool. (I’ve absorbed some decent libraries over the years, not to mention my friend at the off-campus Berkeley bookstore). I enjoy giving books away though, for nothing in return, ’cause you know, some cats just need some vibes.
Jere
OK…well….now you’ve got to get inventory of your “old stuff” – isn’t that what this merc Rx is about? Might be interesting what you find π
Jere,
One of the many many things that I admire about you is that you always know EXACTLY how much money you have. Most people do not – and therefore are in some way unclear of their identity. You are vastly wealthier than most if even by this simple fact.
xo
And that’s no line…..
I’ve got a bunch of weird stuff.. from old electronics to random garden tools to books to outdated musical instruments (I’ve got a German Zither from the early 1900’s) to work to art.. I’m not too sure man, I’ve got some odd stuff.. most of it’s buried in a garage, and I’m not even sure what I’ve collected over the years.. I love trading though, it’s good fun! That’s been my focus lately.
Jere
Jere, What kind of stuff do you barter?
Allright, I’ve got $13.73 to my name right now, I’ll have another $75.- on saturday. I want the sag. reading, but I also want it all. What kinda deal can we strike to get me your words, and you some cash? I’m more than happy to pay in installments, but I do enjoy the barter system.. besides, I remember the price to subscribers, and I just happened to be totally broke at the time. Or I would have bought it. What do you say Mr. Francis?.. Throw me a line, we’ll go from there.. Seriously, I’m just interested in Sag., (but you know, I’ve got buddies who like words.)
