Now for the question

Japan Sovereignty -- chart 173 from The World Book of Horoscopes.

Question is:

What does the chart of Japan have in common with the charts for: Sept.11, 2001, the Banda Aceh quake and tsunami, WikiLeaks and Friday’s quake?

    Eric,

I found a chart for Japan for February 11, 1889, Tokio, Japan,, presumably Noon and it has a Moon at 27 Gemini 43 square a Mars at 25 Pisces.

It also has the Sun at 22 Aquarius 37 (where Nessus is now) and Jupiter at 0 Capricorn 56 (so square trans. Uranus). Also Mercury at 0 Pisces 37 rx, Neptune at 29 Taurus 30 (so having a Neptune square), and Pluto at 3 Gemini 59 rx is being squared by transiting Chiron.

Uranus at 21 Libra 52 rx trines the Aquarian Sun. You may have already seen this chart but if not here is a link:

Well, I chose this chart because it’s the most recent, and that Moon showed up. There is research that supports that the chart of the current incarnation of the government or the current regime is effective. Also remember we are dealing with a conquered nation and, in effect, a client state.

The earliest data he gives is Feb. 11 660 BC in Kyoto.

However, I am not touching that chart — os/ns questions to resolve. Presumably this is stated in ns (new style). I will defer to Tracy on this.

But Len, we didn’t choose our chart either. It is what it is. We stole the land, bought slaves, and delivered the bomb; but we are compassionate and loving and that makes up for a lot.

  4. Patty says:

I always viewed the prior degree as the degree of the recent past, with the next degree as the current story. no degree is bad, it is just that we never seem quite to understand the lesson we are passing through. The loving forgiveness and kind compassion are missing from several of the other incidents you mentioned, and it is the moon after all. With the current earthquake we are seeing the government reach out with much more compassion than I ever thought possible of anyone japanese. No offense to my japanese relatives, but this seems to be a true turning point, inspirational even.

My deepest compassion goes to the thousands sleeping on the streets in Japan tonight. It is cold, and they are hungry.

I’ve just been researching Hades this evening, as I noticed that on the chart of the Full Moon, Saturday, Hades will be, hypothetically speaking…….at 28 Gemini 47′ 31″.

According to L. Blake Finley’s site, A Study of Hades:

“Hades appears to emphasize the unity between the physical and the metaphysical, how the subtle elements of reality are intertwined with the crass. Its negative manifestations seem to rear their heads when we ignore or deny the “metaphysical” elements of reality. Hades sometimes seems to confront us with the power and even necessity of that knowledge…. something not always so easy to access in a consumerist society.

Hades might also lead us to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying essence of all life, in physical, metaphysical, social, and psychological senses. Hades might be seen as the underlying essentials of life once the surface coverings are stripped away. As the adage goes “we are born into this world naked, and naked when we leave”, which of course refers not only to whether we have clothes on or not, but to the fact that the external trappings that we attach ourselves to and accumulate are of little significance either at birth or at death… and that its what we are actually made of, and make of ourselves internally, that counts.

A well-developed understanding of Hades might help us to remember this throughout our lives so that the underlying realities at a deeper level of life are not denied, do not go unattended, and thus do not become problematic for us when Hades arrives by transit or direction to confront us.”

S: Aries Moon, Len. Aries Moon… You hang around here long enough, a few of those degrees will really stick to ya’.

Has anyone noticed/mentioned that Pluto is transiting the Nodes of the Hiroshima Bombing chart? If you have, there’s proof I’m not up to date on the comment threads. (edited b/c I thought the smiley was ultimately not the right tone)

“Quick Draw” Shanna Philipson – way to go! Were you sitting there with your hand on the buzzer?

Patty, thank you for the Sabians for the two degrees involved. Evocative for me as well. Have you ever noticed that the Sabians often resonate with the Thema Mundi?

Eric: Thank you also for the mention of the Uranian point, Hades and the enlightened interpretation by Arlene Kramer. And yes, have not forgotten about 29 being the applicable degree. Learned that lesson while you were at Burning Man.

One other thing is that the Pluto position on this 1952 chart corresponds to the ascendant on the Sendai quake chart, the Venus position for 911 and the axis of the 1999 total eclipse.

The only thing that bothers me is that the people of Japan may not identify with this “soverignty” chart, they may not agree with the idea that it has anything to do with their national identity. To use this chart may be taken as as insult by the Japanese people. We don’t want to rub salt in the wound. Patty, they have not sold out their souls so much as their material lives may manifest. They have suffered quite enough.

  8. Eric Francis Eric Francis says:

Well — except for the TNP Hades, a hypothetical from Uranian astrology.

Using Sabian symbols, this would be 28+ degrees, hence, 29 degrees, NOT 28.

    Arlene Kramer writes:

HADES (HAY deez) — All that is unpleasant, useless, antique, or deeply buried. The occult … Hades is misunderstood, because many think only of the negative meanings: dirt, garbage, sewage, sickness, poverty, mistakes, and all things ugly and sinister. There is a positive side that deals with antiquity, depth, and past lives. Hades advances 1°01′ per year, so its orbit around the Sun takes a little over 360 years.

I don’t see this degree turning up by conjunction in the BP rig explosion chart. There is plenty in the late degrees; but nothing major (such as a light, or an angle) at 28+ Gemini

  10. Patty says:

Moon at 28 Gemini. A man is leaving a courtroom with mixed feelings of relief & determination; he has just passed through bankruptcy. The emotional state of Japan.

Moon at 29 Gemini, High in a tree that has given only the faintest evidence of returning spring, a mocking bird delivers its repertoire

These degrees are important to me on a very personal level. I read in this that the nation of Japan is trying to overcome its past, and in so doing, bit itself in the ass by wanting to become a nuclear super power. Hence the mocking. The wounded people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were never acknowledged because they represented Japan’s failure to win the war. Karma.

  11. GreenSpirit says:

    Eric,

Should we add the BP blow out to the data base as well? To me, it seems like it is very much a part of this political-industrial assault on the planet.

sending Love and Gratitude for all that you do to keep us informed

  12. Oh, it’s that darned 28+ degrees of Gemini. Uhm, opposite the Galactic Center at 27 degrees Sagittarius.

Hey, and Saturn is backing up to the Mercury degree of 14+ Libra in the 9/11 chart. Hmm..
