oh weird — the first 3 of these comments are from last year! that totally threw me for a minute.

winter in maine ended with a 68-degree teaser on friday, only for spring to arrive today with temps back in the upper-30s – low-40s and a stiff, frigid breeze. but at least it’s sunny!

Love these photos Eric; so evocative. They touch me deeply. My time in the Hudson Valley, 07-08, introduced me to that region’s compelling and magical beauty, but there’s so much more I want to explore. One of my finest memories is a day at High Falls when I sat beneath the falls on a rocky ledge and found myself spontaneously merging with the water. What an intense download that was for me–I still recall its messages so clearly. And I still feel the pull of the valley every day. I’d like to return to live and work there at some point, and am looking for options in that vein. Thanks again for sharing these visions with us–their power reaches across miles and deep into my heart.

Hi Eric, thanks for sharing your photos. They are cool in more ways than one, and are the final push to get me out hiking today.

I am sending one from Mt. Tamalpais, just north of SF, taken during our spring teaser in Feb.

The colors are so different this time of year. I haven’t documented it here yet but the world is YELLOW. We had so much rain last year — that is the only real difference I can think of.

I found this particular spot because I tried a new way across the stream and up to the house. I wanted an easy crossing, since I had my tripod as well as my bag from the High Falls Food Coop, not to mention my camera. There was an easy crossing here and in about three paces it led to…this amazing moss fiesta.

As promised yesterday I do have tadpole portraits.

Thanks again for the Grandmother Land photos in what looks like early spring. That is one of my favorite times of year along the Peterskill, not too far from High Falls.
