At long last the October monthly horoscope is going out to subscribers. We will be emailing it in a few minutes, as well as posting it to the subscriber area. Here is the Libra entry:

Yes I printed out the monthly for my Taurus sun & Gemini ascendant, so I could refer to it through the coming month. Your ability to capture the subtle nuances is really amazing, & I am glad you have A MISSION to share it with us for guidance through these perilous times.
For Taurus; “What is the meaning you put on sex, and how did it get there? What is the value you ascribe to it, and has it actually demonstrated that value?”
In conjunction with yesterday’s audio about the sedate, traditional Sun, Saturn conjunction in Libra, ( partnership) combined with the salacious Mars & Venus mating in Scorpio…………….provides a wonderful toolbox to assist in devlving deep into the inner recesses, ( Scorpio’s rhelm) of my psyche, for the purpose of evolving and growing, clearing out old debris!
And yesterday’s audio was particularly humorous as well…………..cherry flavoring for the medicine?
Keep them coming!

Oldwethen: you’re not alone in that dark, thanks for opening up about what’s happening with you. Eric: the Scorpio horoscope is totally spot on for me (my rising and sun), the Sagg. ‘scope is something I’ll have to read a lot and digest (I have a lot of Sagg.), but thanks for writing it.
Eric,
The Virgo (my rising) and Pisces (my Sun), and the Capricorn, (my moon), are so exactly what I have been thinking, dealing with and working on that they are hair raising to read. Thank you for pointing the way for me in such clear and insightful horoscopes.
I have been reading your horoscopes and writings since before Planet Waves was officially started and I have always been amazed at the consistently high caliber of the content from you and your staff and members.
Your gentle touch is healing and eye-opening at the same time. PW is and always will be my favorite place and service.
OldWetHen: I hear you sister! Hang on in there. It gets easier, I promise you – just keep at it and have lots of patience, cos it takes time, have been there myself and survived.

Can never thank you enough for your (Cancer) horoscopes dearest Eric. It’s as if you’ve written them specially for ME! I always refer back to them over and over again. They help to keep me on track, and keep me in touch with what really matters when life and worries sweep me away from myself.
Much love

Hello OldWetHen:
So appreciate your candor about your state of being. When you described what “Symbolic Suicide” was for you, I couldn’t help but think about the original premise for Burning Man.
What it has become is still evolving, but it started as an act of a “self” destructing the ballast, the chaff, and getting essential. In short, your courage is amazing.
I don’t know a whole lot about the finer points of astrology (although I seem to be learning thanks to PW, haha) but Eric’s interpretations consistently astound me with their relevance. My daughter and I share the same sign so you’d think there would be times when predictions are more accurate for one or the other of us, but every time I think to check with her, she’s finding them hugely relevant too.
Thanks to everyone at the PW team!
I’ve got my Cancer sun on the current south node, squaring Saturn. Right now I’m going through some of the hardest stuff I’ve ever been through- and that includes my Chiron return. I’ve been thinking, “I can’t do this”- and, in fact, I can’t. What’s being presented is impossible, so… rewrite the script. I’ve tried Googling “symbolic suicide” and the results are beyond disheartening- no help in dealing with these extremes of rage and depression. The crisis has built to bursting. I’m chucking everything non-essential now to come down to something- anything- that sustains life. Eric, as always, offers a real perspective, a valid view of my phrase “symbolic suicide”. Get rid of everything that doesn’t sustain life, like you would toss heavy, apparently precious, items over the side of the life boat. To quote: “inherited material that you ended up with. Far from having no effect on your life, these ideas stand on a thinly veiled guiding principle: for example, informing your notion of what is possible… You can drop that weight any time you want.” I trust Eric’s writing to be a beacon in some truly dark nights of the soul.
Was encouraged by the Capricorn snip so I sent it out to my stellium of heart-dear Cappys — four, all within a few degrees of one another — about whom I fret; my own Pluto conj Sag Sun and Merc and Pluto opp Gem Uranus (thankfully behind me) felt rather like Frodo’s journey so I watch their indicators carefully to see how I can assist and support. One sent this back, quickly: “How could Eric know this is EXACTLY what it is like?” Cosmic talent of course. Nice work, boss.
Musicman! – Long time no comment from you!
Eric,
What with me being more gifted in hindsight than foresight, i usually appreciate your monthly’s better at the end of the month. Nevertheless, your consistency of theme development is gradually getting through to and, well, it’s a gut check. Thanks.
After all these years it still never ceases to amaze me how you do that.
100 % correct. (Aries)
Thanks!
“This morning we posted out the monthly horoscope for October. If you have a moment, would you please comment on that post at this link on our blog?”
……………..
I read somewhere that Americans generally prefer Inconjunct to Quincunx…….!! For fear of mispronunciation!! James Bond also had issues with Pussy Galore!
The current Moon in Gemini has just tucked nicely into Venus and Mars in Scorpio and the North Node in Capricorn. A veritable melange of sensuality and transcendance! But Oh…the choices!!
From Gemini…”The thing about any form of creative process is that it depends on answering to your inner authority; the notion of ‘authorship’ is about you being the one to grant yourself authorization.”
From Scorpio…”Yet the planets are set up to reveal one of the most difficult things about human nature, which is the source of what we project.”
From Capricorn…”Your current planets suggest that you have an open road ahead; that you are free to create plans and bring them into reality.”
The changes that are now manifesting…fairness as a theme….responibility for ones self, a balanced approach to sexuality…gender….. and the sensitisation of womens’ issues in general….are well covered in all of Erics writing….and I would have no hesitation in saying to any new reader…that you will find in these monthly glimpses of life as we know it, a self help guide to becoming a fully qualified human being…!!
But dont overdo it!!

Your radar is right on Eric!
I think looking inward for validation is sublime!
One thing I’ve learned from the recent and, for me, oppressive Saturn squares is that life is to be celebrated, not lived as though we were just marking time.
Dance as though we mean it!!
BTW…I will reiterate. Your virgo columns so accurately fit my life as to be uncanny.
thanx!!
I have been getting in the habit this past year of reading horoscopes with squinty eyes, wanting so much to feel hopeful bit a little jaded as well.
I just read the Libra horoscope, and it resonated very very much.
I’ll read it again with eyes wide open.
bravo

i’m right there with you, fe —
my taurus sun & cancer asc are both right on; the taurus horoscope is especially clear in addressing what’s been at the forefront for me now.
i used to print mine out too & was just thinking the other day i should start again. there’s something about having it at my fingertips in a concrete form that makes me more likely to journal on it, mull it while running, etc.
“my pisces horoscope (which is my rising and tends to resonate more than my sun) is spot on. this is what i have been struggling with the past few months- standing up for my needs (as you call them- demands) and not backing down. i tend to see everyone else’s perspective and their wounding and what they need- and i often overlook my own. a few years back when i truly realized this it occurred to me that i am able to coddle everyone else’s wounded child but my own- and i felt my own wounded child was there screaming at me to think of her first sometimes! i am now in a very significant relationship with a child on the way and it’s a scary place to be making demands where if they are not met i will walk out the door. your october monthly horoscope speaks to this profoundly. thank you for the gentle reminder- i am trying my damnedest!”
Hey e.:
October’s horoscope for Aquarius is so penetratingly spot-on that I’ve done with it like I’ve normally done with PW horoscopes.
To keep intention on it, I post it up on my bulletin board to look at and remember, and meditate on. It cuts right through to me.
