In case you missed the controversy, here’s the Sesame Street segment where Katy Perry sings a song for Elmo called Hot N Cold. The segment was pulled because she was allegedly showing too much cleavage. What IS the world coming to. I favor the proposed law that all infants must nurse blindfolded.

There’s something very Lucille Ball-ish about Katy Perry. I just realized it. She’s totally sexy, but there’s an undeniably accessible comic/playful vibe about her, too. I wonder how she’ll grow with that.

If I was between four and six, I’d probably pay more attention to Sesame Street if this was on… Nice snappy tune, lots of action, colorful backgrounds, it’s all there. Elmo too. But who’s that pretty lady?
I seem to recall plenty of TV shows back in my childhood that had women in them who wore less, and that was the 60′s! Elly Mae Clampett, Jeanie, all those slinky women in Star Trek, ummm, all those really bad made-for-TV movies ABC used to churn out. It was all there…
Not to mention all the hippie chicks around town as I grew older who didn’t believe in wearing bras…
