Updated! Weekly audio for June 2 by Eric Francis

Hello out there in Internet Land. Your Planet Waves free weekly audio is now ready. I’ve covered the aspects leading into the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on June 8, including Mars opposite Neptune, Mars changing signs into Virgo, and the role of Vesta in our lives as Mars approaches an exact conjunction, lighting the fires of transformation. Finally, I go over the “gathering of the tribes” quality of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction.

UPDATE: I’ve also done a separate commentary on the various news events that are weighing on our minds these days — the oil spill and the Israeli attack on the relief flotilla. This is less about astrology and more of a direct comment on the situations, though I speak about the incident chart from the Israeli incident. Here is that audio.

Later in the day I’ll have an announcement of Gemini birthday audio — I am doing a written version of that report now, free to all, which explains what’s in the audio version. This audio offers 60 minutes of astrology and 20 minutes of tarot using the Voyager deck. Here is a free preview of the Gemini birthday audio.

I just listened to the audio on the Israeli attack. Eric asks the question, “Why is there so much screwed up stuff going on in the world when there’s all this beautiful astrology?”

    Good question.

A few things come to my mind. One, there’s lots of beautiful stuff going on in this screwed up world, it’s just not what is primarily displayed on the news (and which I stopped watching TV almost four years ago so perhaps my perspective is not so jaded by it). It doesn’t make the headlines. I make it a point to see the good things, involve myself in good things, to remind myself of this very thing: there is so much good in the world.

Two, to borrow from General Eric Shinseki: “Institutions don’t transform, people do.” Or, here, “The world won’t transform, people will.” This is a slow process, and the astrology that you see is the overview but there’s also our individual charts and how each interacts with what is the current state of the sky. As mentioned before, individuals affect the collective and vice-versa: the multiplication factor. People are changing, and shifting, and the exchange will progress as more and more do. The events are influencing people, but people are slow to change. Mostly. But it is happening. I see this just in my small sphere: more people joining the milk movement, joining my CSA, the national movement to allow backyard chickens in cities (to include mine), more community gardens, more and more solar panels getting installed, etc. These are all small things, not headline-worthy, but all these small things add up to a huge amount of good. So I think patience is required for the thing you’re looking for, and I don’t see it as some big momentus event; I see it more as one day in the future we’ll take stock in the moment, look back, our vision will clear, and we’ll wonder how the heck we got so far along, when did that happen?

Three, could there possibly be a new take on the 12th house stuff? Could the hidden stuff perhaps be beneficial? Even when it doesn’t seem like it? Of course I have no idea, but I wonder.

Eric also mentions how people want to get involved, want to make this world a better place, want to participate, not out of obligation, but out of desire. This makes me think that that may be true, but saying it and doing it are two different things. I’m guessing that many people do not have the skill or confidence to put their desires into action, for a multitude of reasons. I’ve heard many times someone or another say, “I wish I could [insert desire here]… but I can’t because [insert reason here].” To quote a friend, “can’t lives on won’t street” and how do you get (inspire) someone to change residence? That’s a huge change… a mental shift… to go from thinking you can’t to believing you can, and then doing it. I don’t have an answer to this, but maybe someone else has something to offer on the subject?

Oh, this is sad. Eric, your phrase “co dependency of conflict” comes to mind and here is the first sign I have seen in the mainstream news of the unfortunate “holy martyrdom” angle within this tangle, very very sad to me:

(article about the funerals of the slain aid workers)
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100603/ap_on_re_eu/eu_turkey_israel
    (excerpt)
The body of Furkan Dogan, a 19-year-old with dual U.S.-Turkish citizenship, was to be flown to his family’s hometown of Kayseri for burial Friday, the state-run Anatolia News Agency reported.

His father Ahmet told Anatolia he identified his son at the morgue and he had been shot in the forehead. Still, he said, the family was not sad because they believed Furkan had died with honor.

“I feel my son has been blessed with heaven,” he said. “I am hoping to be a father worthy of my son.” ……….

All I can say here is, uh-oh. Uh-oh. Oh please no.

I almost missed that there was a second audio added, but very glad I found it. That chart for the Israeli incident with the relief flotilla is chilling in the truth sense even though it is just a glance….. as soon as you began talking about 12th house I was going oh yeah oh yeah……. collective undersoul bigtime over there oh yeah……. and coming right on out into view, or beginning to do that…..

the phrase “codependency of conflict” is a keeper for sure. I do hope to see more on this situation if you reach a point where you can write a fuller take on it all……..

IMO, if there is an underhanded purpose orchestrating such events as this and as the Gulf oil situation……. it would be exactly cured and overridden by precisely what you call for, Eric, at the end of your comments. In other words, if there is a “they” who do not want this toxic world healed, “they” would be so thrilled if we all go away into despair or nihilism or numb shock states or drugged anesthetized states… so, let’s just not do that. Instead, let’s do that other thing. ;-)

In case you are still info gathering about this, I did find this interesting…. regarding the planning for the Israeli response…. though I cannot speak for the veracity of it, just ran across it online today:

Great audio and nice to hear your thoughts vs reading them. Both are nice. Loved the part about “gathering of the tribes”.

Feels like both sides of the coin at Gaza had veiled agenda/s. Got a “sting” while listening to you that the recent events Gulf n Gaza are connected. At the least by the greater deception spelled O.I.L.

Really enjoy the variation of audio/written – and as always, what you share. Thanks, Eric.

    Eric,

The astrology we are currently in is of great importance and portends enormous change. I know that many astrologers have been looking forward to this period of the Cardinal Grand Cross and studying the implications for some time. So here we are. The highlight being this June through August.

We are enmeshed in everything from an active political period, a BIG oil spill, trouble in the Mideast, heightening tension in Iran and North Korea, etc.,etc. So here we are.

When I have a consultation with an astrologer, like I have with you, we speak of my natal chart, the current aspects and future aspects in the near term. Those future aspects in the near term help me to see beyond the enmeshed now with hope of future growth beyond the enmeshed now.

I would find it very interesting and helpful if you could take us to this time in 2011 when Jupiter and Uranus make their next pass into early Aries and give us some insight into the status/resolutions of the chart of the oil spill, the Mideast turmoil, the general feeling of possibilities one year from now. It would be helpful for me to get a perspective of astrological events then that will provide a perspective of perhaps how the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction and the Cardinal Grand Cross may provide some hopeful innovative changes. Chaos and change lead to opportunity!
