Onward: Cosmic Confidential

Cosmic Confidential

It always happens that as I am trying to wrap up the year of PW and devote myself to the annual edition, the news goes wild. I’m not taking this personally of course; the gods and congress are mad; we all know that. Thankfully, the last Friday edition of Planet Waves Astrology News is done and out for the year. (We will have monthly editions the next two Tuesdays, including the short version of the annual forecast for all subscribers on 12/29; this is the January 2010 Planet Waves Monthly, always a bit heftier in January and warming things up for the full annual website.)

In case you’re not a subscriber, here is a gift (not a ‘free issue’): Earth Stations Retrograde. This is one of my favorite editions of the year, with the lead article written like good journalism should be — fast. The lead article and sidebars were, well, an afterthought. At 7 pm on Thursday, I realized I hadn’t devoted any significant coverage to this most significant issue. So, I put on my daily newspaper reporter hat, did some research, and well, there you have it — Earth Stations Retrograde.

This issue includes a survey not just at the climate change conference, and the wider issue of global warming; and from our standpoint, the cosmic angle: a perspective on what this all means in the very long run, how we see the karma of humanity being acted out, and astrological commentary on the long-term and immediate developments.

This week’s edition also comes with two short, focused astrological studies of key charts involved with the process (including the hacking of the emails in the ‘climategate’ scandal — published for the first time on Planet Waves); an essay called ‘Om’ for the Holidays by my old friend Scott Kalechstein; a new essay by Judith Gayle; and my weekly horoscope, with an intro on the planet Nessus called ‘Do You Trust Your Tribe?’. All great stuff, some of our best, and it’s been a banner year Planet Waves: still, a year I am happy is now over (from a Friday publishing standpoint) so that I can wrap up the Big One, Cosmic Confidential.

I am very happy to have a lot of research and writing done as a down-payment on this city in the sky, and today my plan is to run through one of the aspects for all 12 of the signs. I’ll let you know which one when that bit is done.
