This week’s Planet Waves audio

This week’s audio covers yesterday’s Jupiter-Uranus conjunction and its relationship to 2012 — and the personal choices we are being called upon to make as a result of both the astrology and its impact on the world. It’s an approximately 25 minute reading of the current sky. Here is your link, with a link into the archives of past weekly audios.

  1. Oh DAMN bro, this shit just keeps getting better and better. So direct and practical with all the depth a girl needs. I like the part about ask for some help when you can’t let the love pour out of your heart. Also acknowledging the intensity of the inertia of the world we’re in in both senses of that word — what we’re up against, but also how natural it really is to take the steps we all yearning to take.

  2. I highly recommend Maddow and Olbermann, weekday evenings on MSNBC. Each of their programs is broadcast twice. They run starting at 8, 9, 10 and 11 pm Eastern Time. It’s some of the best environmental coverage I’ve ever seen. They are pulling no punches.

  3. Eric,

    I am quite sure that my subconcious understands everyword your saying! I completely
    identify with your potato in the microwave theory, as in recent days I have visualized Lestat in the desert and the fire hydrant just outside of arms reach….I’m friggin thirsty!
    However I am going to admit that I have to be your biggest ostrich here at PW. I have conveniently placed my head in the sand when it comes to horrific acts of terror from the
    corp dogs. Their stench nauseated me. However, I am making a commitment to becoming better informed. I have recently stockpiled some antiemetics….with that said, its off to the news……

  4. Oh, how I love thee! You are wonderful….and this is sending me off to sleep with the ability to let go and get some rest. Shit is intense and I need my beauty sleep….

    merci!

  5. Eric, for what it’s worth, all your encouraging folks to be alert and engaged does have an impact.

    I’ve been exploring some ways to start a green business and I take your commentary to heart in this regard.

    Yesterday and today (just in time for the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction) I attended a two-day conference for people who are already working in a green niche within the industry where I’m employed.

    It was like being in a room with “the best and the brightest,” and all these folks are already way ahead of me. Very exciting.

    I networked some and they were very encouraging to me to keep exploring.

    Now I expect this will be a long drawn out process. My business plan is still pretty sketchy (I’m a Gemini rising with Pisces on my tenth house, alas ;-).

    I am however pretty sure that this little adventure will yield some positive results in my current job, even if they don’t lead to my own company.

    And hopefully tp some green results as well.

    So there you are. Keep at it, you are no doubt changing the world in a larger way than you can know.

    cheers, GG

  6. @ via emal: Very interesting theory. I would be sad to see the lushness of this planet turned into a ring of fire. But, the universe does have its mysteries. Lush life on another planet or star perhaps is in the works while the Earth’s directional purpose is to be a flaming star.

    IMO, it is the reasons for this happening that are of prime importance.

    Greed
    Disregard for the sanctity of life in all its diversity
    Control and attachment crowding out intuition
    Hate killing Appreciation and Humble Awareness
    Non-action (or passivity) leading to ignorance
    The sheer inablity to perceive Beauty and cherish it.

    These things need to be addressed in any event. No matter what. Or we continue in karmic circles and create of the next lush planet of life a burning star…

  7. Eric, Thank YOU! Thank you!
    WE love you…

    Sharing this free audio ….

    Have a blessed week…
    xoxo

  8. I had a very weird experience today and the friend that saved me reminded me of this… It’s almost a wholesale given. Nevertheless… worth the read. Lest we forget. About the important shit. If it has not been said enough… I so appreciate this place. And what you offer, Eric. And everyone else who speaks here. Thanks. xm

    Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
    and remember what peace there may be in silence.
    As far as possible without surrender
    be on good terms with all persons.
    Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
    and listen to others,
    even the dull and the ignorant;
    they too have their story.

    Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
    they are vexations to the spirit.
    If you compare yourself with others,
    you may become vain and bitter;
    for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
    Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

    Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
    it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
    Exercise caution in your business affairs;
    for the world is full of trickery.
    But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
    many persons strive for high ideals;
    and everywhere life is full of heroism.

    Be yourself.
    Especially, do not feign affection.
    Neither be cynical about love;
    for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
    it is as perennial as the grass.

    Take kindly the counsel of the years,
    gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
    Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
    But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
    Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
    Beyond a wholesome discipline,
    be gentle with yourself.

    You are a child of the universe,
    no less than the trees and the stars;
    you have a right to be here.
    And whether or not it is clear to you,
    no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

    Therefore be at peace with God,
    whatever you conceive Him to be,
    and whatever your labors and aspirations,
    in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

    With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
    it is still a beautiful world.
    Be cheerful.
    Strive to be happy.

  9. If you want a picture of actual rainwater, I’ll have to wait until the monsoons start in July or mid-July, it’s supposed to be pretty dry for the next stretch of time, but if there is some activity, I’ll take a picture of it and let you know so I can send it along if you want. All I’ve gotten pictures of so far is thunderheads that rain someplace else. The water that’s in the cistern right now is kind of soupy, perfect for the plants, not so much for me and the animals, but I’m working on it, clearing out the soupy water so I can have fresh clean rain water in there soon. In the meantime I’m relying on good friends for showers and birdbath water. A couple of friends of mine now want to go water catchment only too, I see the trend only getting more popular.

  10. I like the nuked potato too. My well quit yesterday, sure, there’s water down there (712 feet down to be exact) but the pump is shot. I’m going to go back to using the rain cistern that my grandfather used 90 years ago, it feels like everything old is new again. I’m just glad that I have some old left! Comes in handy when the new gets nuked. Why fight it, just let it rain.

  11. “Small Town Relies on Itself to Fight Oil”

    http://liveshots.blogs.foxnews.com/2010/06/09/small-town-relies-on-itself-to-fight-oil-2/

    “June 9, 2010 – 9:15 AM | by: Jonathan Serrie

    “Faced with a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, one small town on the Alabama coast has adopted a strategy of self-reliance.

    “We didn’t wait on anyone,” said Charles Houser, the mayor of Magnolia Springs. “We had the knowledge, we felt like. We had the passion. And so we just decided to go ahead and take action.””

  12. wwwoooooowwwww thanks for the audio !!!!!!!!
    Take your place and be/do what you know you came here to be/do: listening to your words it appears as just so eeeasyyyy to do it. You just do it. And if it really was just so easy?

    Maybe we have come here on this planet thousands and thousands of times, tried and passed any kind of experience, made all those experiments, all those errors, all that refinement of the ‘task’… and now… now we can just DO it. With the rapidity and precision of a well thrown arrow, right in the center. Easy. natural. Fun!

    Thank you priest of Astrology.

  13. Thoughts on fire

    Wondering if this stuff from deep in the earth called oil isn’t the fuel that will
    eventually, or perhaps potentially, turn the earth into a star?
    Do we really know what it is that makes the sun shine?
    What is the fuel that perpetuates that incredible live-giving fire?

    I viewed with wonder the volcano in Iceland,
    spewing forth liquid fire, gas, rock.
    Did you find it marvelous too?
    How can it be that oil, oceans of it miles deep into the heart of this sphere of earth/water/stone
    we call Earth
    is less an organic thing?
    What is oil, really? What is its purpose?
    It must be more than toxic greasy gassy gunk that we burn and therefore are continually at war over possessing….
    Do they know that it will fuel a sun?
    Can one own a sun?

    What if the purpose of the oceans—
    aside from being the world’s womb of vast unknowable life and its flowing equanimity —
    is to preclude the potential fire that would transform us into a sun?
    Fire and water balance each other.
    Earth and air allow humanity.
    But oil and ocean should not ever mix.

    What substance other than oceans of oil could make our living oceans burn?

    How did they know, so long ago, that we would become Atlantis once again?

  14. Ah, okay, this was what I was looking for earlier, the audio…. Good one, thanks!

    perhaps I should sign myself: a hippie who’s been driven craaaazeeeeeeee!

    lol
