Saturn in Libra and a relationship themed annual edition

Hello and happy Mercury conjunct the Sun in Cancer.

(…with the Moon in Aries)

I’m here with the first announcement of the 2010 annual edition of Planet Waves — our 12th. In honor of Saturn in Libra, we are planning a relationship-themed annual. This will cover the diversity of possibilities, recognizing that every person has relationships their own way.

The edition will feature articles by other writers in a diversity of styles: essays of personal testimonial; articles on specific topics; and astrology articles exploring relational dynamics through astrology.

You do not need to be a professional or even an experienced writer; just a natural writer willing to work on the piece you submit. I will personally work with each writer developing the theme and angle in collaboration. You will then continue to work with the articles editor.

I’m especially interested in coming out stories, open relationship experiences, lessons learned from affairs, sexual coming of age stories, stories about why your marriage works brilliantly or doesn’t work so well, experiences of self-relating, stories about the role of masturbation and selflove in relationships, and the ideas of those who are exploring new ideas about relationships and sexuality. I am open to essays on subjects like, “What I Really Want from Love.”

The annual edition of Planet Waves is published each January, featuring extended-length horoscopes, original artwork and many interesting articles. It’s one of our longest-standing traditions as a publishing company and we invite your participation as a writer. We will also need an assistant web developer for this project, as well as visual artists and a graphic designer.

Please write to me directly at dreams (at) planetwaves.net copying info (at) planetwaves.net and placing the word ANNUAL in all capital letters in the subject header so that we can sort the mail. These email details help make our lives easier.

Writers and artists whose work is accepted will receive a fee for their work as well as a comp subscription to the annual and the following year’s Planet Waves Astrology News.

Please keep your initial proposal down to a short by but informative letter of intent with a description of what you want to do.

Many thanks for your participation.

Yours & truly,

Eric Francis

  1. Yes, de Witte… glad to hear you’re tuning in. With Saturn at my MC this fall, it’s going to be interesting to see how it helps to structure my work on Bobos. I slipped an astrological question to Eric the other night in a phone conversation (“You know what this is going to cost you, eh?” “hmmm, tell me…” “You have to juggle a set of chainsaws.” “On or off?” )

On. So I got the shorter answer. Anyway, I was born with Neptune in my 10th house, a ‘gift’ I really didn’t know how to fully unwrap until now. A little refocusing –thank you Mr. Francis– was part of the shift.

I spent until after dawn this morning talking about love, and really *listening* to stories about the miserably monogamous. The strangest part is that it is all (and I mean ALL) in people’s heads. I am never going to sign on the monogamous dotted line, but my internal fidelity to the Beloved is completely inviolable. Being free to make my choices means that I make them as consciously as I can, always on the lookout for what other qualities and conditions are going to drape themselves in the clothing of Eros.

So I want to read and hear a lot more about how others are moving through this transition. There is one underway, you know. Just open your nose.

    Kissies,

    M
