The Weekend Tarot Reading — Sunday, February 10, 2013

By Sarah Taylor

You have achieved. Now – have the courage to love.

Move from the physical, into the depths of your creativity — that place from which all thought and action stems — and become a child of Love.

There are gatekeepers, and they will tell you to turn back, that it isn’t worth the effort — that you are not worth the effort. But they will let you pass. They are simply there to see if you will commit, and recommit, yourself to the path that moves inward.

Find, at the heart, your heart. It wants to know you in a way that is both simple and uncompromising. It asks nothing but your undivided devotion.

How do you do this?

By giving up who it is that you think you are, or who you should be, for who it is that is asking to be born and expressed.

By enlisting help in which ever way feels useful.

By understanding that this is a process that is unpredictable in its unfolding: parts of the journey can take time, others happen seemingly spontaneously; parts will happen as you thought, others will seemingly deceive your expectations. Know that when this happens, you are being liberated from limitations. Whether you know it or not, you are being shown a better way.

Sometimes it will take great acts; sometimes, you will come to identify with the adage “less is more”.

In every moment, you can choose to move away from, or towards, the wisdom at your core.

Start upon the path where the destination is known but where the journey bears no small importance. Give yourself to your heart, and by doing that you give yourself back to yourself, and to the world.

  1. What a great spread! Sounds apropos to the New Moon square the Nodes astrology too.

Yesterday, I found myself paralyzed momentarily by seeing someone. It was like I was split in two. One was saying, c’mon go for it, just go! The other was wondering what the hell I was doing there. I just wanted to run back to my comfy little apt. And then I kicked myself in the ass and went. Best thing I ever did. Now, I have a totally different perspective of where I am.

  2. Soooo beautiful! All can be found within the heart. It is the opening, wider and wider, into more vulnerability, more of the great, vast, unknown that can be so scary, and yet so beautiful. Jumping off the cliff is scary when you’re standing with your toes curled over the edge. But when you find you can stretch out your wings and glide on the up drafts it makes it all worth it. Thank you!

  3. I’m encountering circumstances that are stirring up fear. I have to move forward because stopping where I am won’t do. Your article reenforces the philosophy of moving forward in love and not letting the gatekeepers tie me down. Your gatekeepers definition helps because it gives form and purpose to the entity of fear. This settles the fear, makes it human size, and makes me see it as a protector which emanations don’t need to be heeded.
