Who thought scales could be so much fun? In tonight’s edition of Music Hour, we go through the concept of a scale, the history of scales, different kinds of scales (major scales, the modes, the pentatonic scale and its modes, etc.) with our guitars plugged into the board for live demo. You will learn all kinds of interesting, enlightening and even freaky stuff, such as how scales are used to manipulate you into hating Burger King and loving McDonald’s. Program includes some fresh theme music as is our custom — a fine way to spend 53 minutes, without commercial interruption.

  1. ..”..I’ve feeled the wind, and I’ve touched the rain..” “..some people say, daydreams are for all the huh, lazy minded fools, with nothin’ else to do… So let them laugh, laugh at me, as long as I have you, to see me through, I have nothin’ to lose….. all my Waterfalls…”

  2. Pentatonic, aka, “box scale”, good for the 12 bars.. Jerry played with 4 fingers, Jimi, with five.. almost makes one laugh, when they think about it..
