Luna ingresses Libra at 11:09 am EDT (15:09 UTC), right after completing a sextile to Mercury in the last degree of Cancer. The Moon hops onto the cardinal cross and Mercury exits the cardinal cross and ingresses Leo at 5:46 pm EDT (21:46 UTC). There it makes some spectacular moves, beginning with a square to Vesta (now in early Scorpio) before making a conjunction to Jupiter on Aug. 2 and a square to Mars later that day. Meanwhile the Libra Moon passes through the Uranus-Pluto square, making a square to Pluto on Aug. 1 and an opposition to Uranus Aug. 2. Out of all of this, I find Vesta in Scorpio especially appealing, visiting the ritual fire of Vesta in the pheromone cosmos that is Scorpio.

So true Pam. And yes, you’re right, I am very lucky indeed. If someone had told me a year ago how my life would have been in the near future (when I had lost an awful job and was desperately looking for work and fighting fear and depression), I would never have believed it. Hope this gives hope to anyone going through it right now. Change is a cosntant, and this is the time to break free of so much crap that keeps us enslaved.

Lizzy could your dream also have a more general interpretation – renewal in the church – the burning of the pope representative of ending the manifestation of worldly rather than spiritual understanding. The child representing freedom (speaking in tongues – touched by the spirit rather than touched/abused by ‘wrong’ ‘spirit’) from the sex scandals?
Living at the heart of the matter in Rome and so going to the heart of it?

I see Jupiter and Mercury in Leo with the Sun close by as the expansion of the communication of the light, and square Mars as the numerous current responses to the conflict and wars with a compassion for life and that light that is life. So many seem to be speaking up about the horrors of war and the human toll, that it seems to be drowning out the patriotism/tribal pride/us against them attitude that has prevailed for so long. People are speaking up for peace. The light is reaching into every little crevice and exposing hypocrisy. Those who are blowhards are being called out. While Vesta is keeping the eternal flame of light and life going, scaring away the stinging Scorpions and their poisonous words, albeit with sacrifice to force the world into this expansive change. Perhaps it will signal a time of pulling back and withdrawing from the conflict. The hidden secrets are being exposed. A transformation is occurring.

I’m not Catholic but have lived in Rome for over half my life, so I imbibe the stuff with my mornng coffee! in fact, it totally ties in with the second half of the dream where thelittle boy who was possessed by a spirit was frightened of being beheaded by another spirit, and I told him that he couldn’t be beheaded because he was being pursued by a spirit, so it wasn’t real.

Can’t help but add my own little bit about your dream, Lizzie … forgive me if I’m crossing a boundary here. I love the bit about the pope engulfed in flame. It’s my sense that he’s not feeling any of it as it’s the past and the past is done and gone — nothing to feel. The fact that you had some attachment to belief systems in and around the pope (hello catholic maybe?) this could mean that you’re done schlepping that stuff around anymore. You’re in the present with the young at heart. Yay!

Had a two day bonfire of purging and cleansing collected over the winter during my ‘relationship period.’ It attracted my ‘unrequited lover’ after months of silence. It was the best day in a long time for many reasons…

I am struck by Vesta’s entry into Scorpio too. She stationed retrograde in the last minute of the last degree of Libra on the 1st of March and now, finally, she might just bring the water of Scorpio to a boiling point.
With Saturn having done his utmost to keep those Scorpio waters (feelings) contained (under control) all this while, he will be tested to the limit. Mars unleashed in Scorpio is predictably scary. There’s no denying that the power of emotion (think rage) can overwhelm the thinking faculties (air) and when the Moon (water, feeling) is full in Aquarius (air-thinking) she will square Saturn (while sextile Uranus in fiery Aries.) Something’s gonna give and it could be Saturn.

Lizzy: interesting dream. What was inspiring to me was the Pope. Not fazed even tho he is consumed by fire. And similarity, the boy that was possessed by the spirit. I read great forbearance of spirit in this dream and likewise in you. : )
Wow! Dreamt last night about a ritual fire. Was sitting in the front row, directly in front of a huge fireplace, where a pope was being consumed by fire! Except that the pope was not fazed by it, was kind of already dead (looked like Pope Jean Paul). There was also a little boy next to me who was suddenly possessed by a spirit. No time to go into that1 Thank god for a banal working day after that!
Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Leo: Big Loud Mouth. If there was a day to watch the news, this is it. My 12th house is jumping right now. An interesting story I am sure you will comment on is the the taxpayer musketeers (GOP) suing Obama. (I don’t think it occured to them that they are using tax money to fund their adventure.). Could this be a human representation of Leo (Obama) vs vengeful (Scorpio) GOP? The person leading the charge (Mars), Boehner is a Scorpio. Interesting match up here.
