Planet Waves Daily Oracle for Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for Dec. 3, 2004

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

In the world of critters Cancer the Crab lives deep at the bottom of the ocean far from the turbulence on the surface. The storms of recent weeks and months have likely called you to a deep place within yourself. But now there are turning points in your relationships and in your inner life that are summoning you back to the world to interact with people more intensely and to live your life on the emotional rather than the spiritual level. Obviously you sense the risks involved with this. But you decided a long time ago not to let life pass you by.

  1. Good Vibes and suggestions Stormi! Hey Jere, that’s a lot of what I do too. Friends are great to get mixed tapes from. I also listen to alternative radio programs, online streams, and podcasts where DJ’s put up their mixes, and then I look up the play log. Youtube is great for linking up tunes that are similar. Some patience and looking around is needed, but I’ve found some cool stuff.

Speaking of which, I was at a rock concert (my first!) yesterday seeing The Sheepdogs. You might like them Jere. A bit old school but lottsa fun:

One of the openers was Monster Truck. Def NOT my style. I was in the mosh pit but was spared the thrashing crowd surfing loveliness. I could only stand it for 3 songs before I yelped: “I’m outta here babe!” … and then God created earplugs….

  2. most happy to share jere! for me, often my friends and lovers are sources, as music is the main language we speak. having international friends helps with exposure too. also – being so inclined, if i hear a groove i like and don’t know, i do a couple of things – write down lyrics as much as possible to search for the song later, or use the Soundhound app on my phone to identify it if possible – tho in my experience with the latter, if the song is a cover version, the app gives me the original and not always the cover band info so may take more digging (iTunes can help if the song is in their database). there are some great online sites too where you can sample new tunes, like worldmusic dot net and linktv dot org/worldmusic. soundcloud is also good, as is lastfm which gives suggestions for similar artists (if you like X you might like Y and Z). i scavenge from movies and tv series soundtracks too. hope that helps and stay tuned! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ~โ™ซ~s

  3. ..Stormi, Hugging my 12th (Daniel),.. odd question ’cause I got lost in an ‘era’ for a few,.. ‘how’ ‘where’ do you ‘find’ your music?.. I’ve truly enjoyed the sounds, especially the instrumentals.

..Just curious if you can convey any sort of methodology… (I need to stop listening to the same things over again for the gazillionth time). (And I know you’re showing me but, I’m always curious as to the workings’ of ‘HOW’ it’s sussed. Is it simply exploring others’ suggestions, and picking up from there, or..?

…Thank you both for the tunage, most Grateful,

    Jere
