Today’s Oracle takes us to the Leo weekly for March 26, 1999

It’s difficult for me to believe that this is anything but one of the very best times of your life. These days and months, this year and into the next, are about far more than breaking free of the bonds that have held you back and down, though the satanic jail cell commonly known as “the past” is particularly fragile now. This extended stage of your life is about finally living your freedom, expanding into greater realities and, in a phrase, living in a larger world. Please consider the words of Wilhelm Reich written about Sigmund Freud, the father of modern psychology, for they represent the very line upon which you now tread: “Learning and knowledge came to mean more to him than human happiness, especially in view of the fact that people themselves appeared not to make the best of happiness when it came their way.”

  1. Hi HS

Office: emotional affairs, your own – a probable change in your love life. Dead or injured birds signify coming worries – bright colours fortuitous, something in a box suggests you will overcome whatever obstacles. A ‘broken’ wing signifies a goal higher than your reach consider changing the goal (not quite your dream?, but anyway the variety is significant. feathers seem to signify joy or happiness of some sort whatever the context

from the dreamer’s dictionary Stearn Robinson and tom corbett.

i used to like this dictionary alot. Now I don’t always find it complete. this may be just that english is only one language and culture in my experience?

  2. Thank you Lizzy, that really helps me! I love your insight. That song is great! 😉

  3. Hi Hugging! Quite an upsetting dream – but it actually seems to me to be very positive. I might be completely wrong here, but I think it’s about letting go of the desire to please others. After all, the focal point of the dream is the need to show the bird to your boss and colleague and let them know how you’ll take care of it. But this behaviour doesn’t work for you any more – so the bird decomposes. As an ex-Buddhist month, you’ll know all about the positive symbolism of decomposition and putrefaction! Don’t know if this interpretation works for you.

  4. Beautiful Oracle today! I love that Reich quote. Very much what I’m experiencing: having fun with and enjoying what is present and showing up freely.

I had a dream this morning that I’m having some difficulty sorting out: I was coming into my office carrying a bird in a box. I found it in good condition but slightly disoriented and I wanted to take care of it and release it later when I got home. At this point the bird was on top of the box and had nice curious eyes. As I approached my bosses office, I hid the bird and went straight to my desk. Then I showed it to her and a colleague, but this time the bird was smaller and in the box with some feathers coming loose. I spoke of my intentions for the bird, and I gently spread its beautiful wings showing the colour patterns and admiring it. Then the bird looked sick and was actually at this point having part of its body coming off as if it were decomposing before me. Each time I wanted to look at the bird it became worse. Finally, the bird fell apart in my hands, and as I held up the bone remnants of his face, his eyes disappeared. I was sitting at my desk sobbing.

I hope it’s okay, but if anyone had some ideas or thoughts, I would love to hear.
