Wow Oracle, at the time when your message originated, part of my job was to create a monthly newsletter for the staff of the 20 or so doctors offices managed by the hospital I worked for. Your above piece of advice came out just before 9/11 and I remember that a few days after that event I wrote up a “letter” for my two bosses to sign supporting the staff and reminding them that some patients would need extra understanding (ie. compassion) regarding the tragedy, and all patients, including those who were native to the middle east, were to be treated with respect. One of my bosses was uncomfortable with signing it but a little tweeking (less drama on my part probably) and he caved. My Sun is in Cancer. Just thought you would like to know how spot on you were then (as usual).
