Astrology Today: Oracle for Saturday, April 12, 2014

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Virgo weekly for Sept. 27, 2002

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

Hope was the last thing at the bottom of Pandora’s box. The way my fourth grade teacher made it seem, hope was this saving grace of the whole Pandora incident. And curiosity was the real killer, the wily force that drove her to unleash all the horrible scourges in the world. I am eager to hear of anyone who may have a feminist interpretation of this myth, but I want to suggest that what she let out was the truth about herself, that often chaotic and contradictory dimension of reality, and further, I propose that hope is not so hopeful, and that our desire to learn is the only thing that may save us now. Hope is, rather, an idle wish rather than a motivating force. Abandon hope. Embrace curiosity. You’re about to stumble into something rather awesomely interesting, truly worthwhile and perhaps a little scary.

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.

  1. Interesting oracle, for my birthday.

As an Aries, I don’t do much hoping, as, indeed, it is action-less, and we are all about the action!. Instead I know, I insist, I work to bring about that which others might hope for or pray for. Aries can make it possible for others to see what is possible and attainable, and heaven knows, we all need this, as this gives us hope.

And maybe that’s the beginning for some – hope. If there is no hope, we do not even try. And from trying to help others who are in a similar health situation I have been in, hope can be a very critical component, which I would not want to deny them, as hopelessness can be fatal, creating action in the negative, rather than hope, which has the propensity to spur on action.

I wouldn’t have minded a more light-hearted Oracle, though, today!
