Except that every move these guys make is tracked. And that is a LONG delay. Initial descent usually happens 45 minutes before landing. So they spaced for at least an hour, by some reports, 90 minutes.
It’s kinda like missing your exit on the NJTurnpike because you’re yak, yak, yaking. It’s easier to make a U-turn in the sky though.
