Was just have precisely the same agrument (opps, I mean discussion) with my sister last night. She was pushing ‘her agenda’ on how kids applying for college these days (specifically Brown University admissions referenced) need to up the anti and to show acceptance, High School experience with a ‘paying’ job at large corporation was required “…to best show commitment in/to society, responsibility”. In other words, in her /’our society’s view, to be considered of ‘value’.
Well I am not buying into this hogwash, if at minimum for my son’s sake. …Let’s just say, my contrary view on the subject was… more than dissmissed.
