Daily Astrology but Not Today! Well OK just a little.

The Ever Useful Blank Wheel.

Hello Dear Readers:

I’ve just finished presenting at the Queer Astrology Conference and will not be updating Daily Astrology. I recorded the presentation and am offering it to my readers — the topic is Holistic Sexuality. Here is a link to that page on Planet Waves FM.

Monday at 11:56 am EDT, the Sun changes signs to Leo. This happens just a few hours before the Aquarius Full Moon, which is at 2:15 pm EDT. These events may arrive with the sensation of everything coming to a head. As part of this process, the Sun and Moon change signs within a few hours of one another. That describes a situation that may be changing rapidly, and which may be confusing in the process — but which has a dependable outcome.

The key here is not to push your need for certainty where it’s not appropriate or not possible. Know what you want, be clear what you expect from others, observe the known facts and be aware when you’re missing information. Focus on relating to others in a clear way. If they are acting foggy, help the situation by drawing information out gently, without attachment to what it might reveal. Your Buddha nature is strong enough to do this.

The sky and the situations that it describes are moving quickly, so I suggest that rather than grasp for certainty, guide yourself gently and consider everything a work in process — especially you.

  1. I am still listening to this audio. Too rich to take in at one time. Amazing resource, Eric, Thank you for sharing it with all of us. I appreciate the respect you show your fellow astrologers and the profession and medicine of astrology.

  2. With the natal sun at 29 Cancer 58′ 43″, so so very close to Leo – I’m curious as to whether or not a more precise latitude/longitude reading (other than London generally) would affect the chart. And, I look forward to comments from the accomplished astrologers as to what that seven seconds from Leo means.

  3. Thanks, be, for your expanded take on the chart of the royal baby.

Yes, I believe there is a sense of continuity, of history & rootedness embodied by the royal family. Queen Elizabeth, as a young princess during the Second World War, rolled up her sleeves & assisted in the war effort when Britain was besieged by bombing raids day & night. The Queen Mother, Elizabeth, staunchly refused to flee England for a safe haven, as she would not leave the King’s side. The Queen Mum lived well past 100, strong & active as long as she was able. It was said that she mentored the late Princess Diana to prepare her for assuming the duties of Queen, should that time have come.

This young prince comes from a strong family of strong individuals & a guiding work ethic of service. Like all families, they’ve had their problems, & because of who they are, sometimes embarrassingly public problems, but they carried on. Their privacy has not always been respected to the extent I would wish it were.

For me, one of the best moments of the day was reading that the two photographers who spotted Will & Kate entering the hospital decided NOT to take pictures. “She’s a woman in labour,” one said. That was a classy decision which not all would have made. I’m glad they did.

  4. Bette, I too remember the Queen as Princess Elizabeth, and was thinking about her today and all the benchmark events in her life. I too think Prince Charles will make a great king for the same reasons you site. Finally, I also see the Queen as a unifying force and, like fine antiques, the royal family connects the distant past to the present and gives us assurance they will endure into the future. There is so little that does endure in these times, except memories.

They also fill a role in the psyche of English-speaking people; one of continuity, pageantry, tradition and grandeur. It may all just be fantasy, but we seem to crave it. Like actors who play roles in film and on stage, they have a private side that the public can only get a glimpse of once in a while. We owe them that much, and most people do understand that giving birth to a future king should be a time when their privacy should be respected. So far that seems to have happened and that’s a good thing.

I’ve not had time to study the new prince’s chart in depth but did want to look up Diana’s chart to see if there were any obvious connections. I only saw that the baby’s Moon at 28+ Capricorn conjuncts Diana’s Saturn at 27+ Capricorn, and in both charts they are in the 2nd house. The baby has his natal Diana at 18+ Aquarius conjunct Minerva (aka Pallas-Athene) and Aphrodite also at 18+ Aquarius. Diana’s Minerva was opposite these three goddesses in the new prince’s chart at 18+ Leo. Otherwise, he is his own “man” taking into consideration his other family members chart connections. He has what I consider a “see-saw” chart with the Sun-Moon opposition connecting the two hemispheres. The lower half of his chart, the private side includes Pluto, Moon, Neptune, Chiron and Uranus, + Juno and Nessus and Pholus and the south node for good measure.

What we will likely see will be his more public Venus, Sun, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn with Pallas-Athene, Ceres and Vesta in supporting roles. His north node in Scorpio in the 12th house will be tested by the opposition between Juno in the 3d house and Ceres in the 9th house some day, but in the meantime the grand trine between the north node in the 12th house, Mercury in the 8th house and Chiron ( also in the 3rd house) makes me think he will be spending a lot of time in the family library.

This is the first time in a long time when the two lead stories on the evening news were happy things; the new prince’s arrival and the Pope’s return home. I won’t forget that.

  5. As a Canadian, I am very appreciative of the interest & insight which be & others are offering regarding the royal birth. I’ve not yet sat down to study the chart, but at first look it seems fascinating. The little prince has arrived into turbulent times.

We Canadians hear periodic grumblings & desires expressed among us to ditch the monarchy & become a republic, but I proufoundly hope that does not happen. Queen Elizabeth II was crowned when I was a young child, & I have always seen her as a strong unifying force among diverse peoples.

. Contrary to some opinions, I feel that Charles will be an excellent head of state whenever he becomes King; his passions for organic farming & sane, people-friendly buildings are much needed in today’s world. Charles is a Scorpio; from what I can recall of his chart, I’m thinking he will have a strong bond with his grandson.

I’ve long felt that it must take a special kind of old soul to be willing to come into a royal family, to grow up knowing one can never be “like everytbody else”, & that one’s future duties were pre-ordained from before birth.

Looking forward to further discussions of all of this.

  6. He has a Sun 29 Cancer 68, Moon 28 Capricorn 17, ascendant 27+ Scorpio and MC 20+ Virgo. Ruler of his chart (Scorpio rising) has Pluto in the 2nd house opposite the 2nd ruler Mars conjunct Jupiter in the 8th house (they square Uranus, but Mars-Jupiter is also in the grand water trine. Saturn is at 4 Scorpio 59 in the 11th house so it will be the “rocky shore pounded by the sea”.

  7. Here we go – astrologers, sharpen your pencils!!!

    Office Statement from the Palace:

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm.

    The baby weighs 8lbs 6oz.

The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.

  8. Will Kate’s baby be a Cancer or Leo? Cappy or Aquarian Moon? Boy or girl? A grand trine runs in the family so keeping with tradition, she or he will follow suit. But, there’s the question of Saturn’s degree.. before the day is over Saturn will move from 4 Scorpio 59 to 5 Scorpio 0, changing the Sabian Symbol from a rocky shore being pounded by the sea to men leaving their country in search of a big gold mine. Kate is in delivery now; for all we know the birth has already taken place. However, if we tire of contemplating our navels as we wait for word from the Palace, we can rest assured the new prince or princess will have a natal Venus in Virgo (trine QB1 in Taurus) since she (Venus) left Leo early this morning. She or he (baby) will prefer study over glory seeking I should think, and with a Mars conjunct Jupiter still in orb and a Mercury still in 13+ Cancer (for a total time of almost a week) and opposite Pluto and square Uranus, it will be intense study.

The newest royal will at some point in life become a force for strengthening the importance of family on all levels, and how those levels interact with one another, based on the Mars conjunct Jupiter trine Saturn and Neptune, and Mars-Jupiter in T-square to Pluto and Uranus. He or she will grow to have a connected feeling for the U.S.A as his or her strong (still stationing) natal Cancer Mercury is conjunct the U.S. Sibly Sun, which trines the transiting north node and Chiron.

Leave that chart blank and we will soon fill it in with details from the birth of our newest darling from England.
