Today is 5 Imix, a point in the 13 day time-pulse where we have laid out our intentions, declared where we stand and things will feel a bit on edge. This is in part due to a difficult alignment between Mars and Uranus. This fifth day in the cycle will have us shifting gears and once we get the go ahead things will move quickly. The fifth day is about the transition from the elements of form into the humanness of form. It is about entering a deeper primal, cellular consciousness, where we are moving from body to mind and back again. There is no sense in letting all these forces of tension and regeneration get in the way of our ability to communicate or express what needs to be said. This day is about primeval wisdom teachings and our ability to use all our senses. Imix is represented by the crocodile or turtle and is the great mother of creation. In the cosmos, Imix relates to the dark rift of the Milky Way where the 2012 galactic alignment will take place. It is a point that helps us to access the underworld. This day-sign helps us to rebuild what needs to be changed in a way that is most conducive to the earth, to the goddess. It is beyond language and beyond all human knowledge. Here we enter the deep waters of the primeval ocean that lies between earth and sky. As we prepare for our soul's journey with Venus across the Sun, know that when it comes to truly understanding our place in the universe we are just as small as that tiny dot of Venus will appear crossing the face of the Sun. No matter how small we think we are we will find that we will come into our full power when we have let go of it. Every day as we make our way through the world we are taking that stand in the face of the Sun and being reborn to what truly matters. As it is expressed in Zen "All is one, one is none, none is all." Today and tomorrow let the magnificence of who we truly are shed light on the planet and know that our souls have been kissed by the Sun.

Early this morning in most parts of the world we will have the experience of a rare transit of the Sun by Venus. In Washington, DC the transit will begin at 4:43 am and will last for around six hours, the last few hours being visible after sunrise. The transit will be completely visible throughout most of Europe, Africa and Asia. Many ceremonies will be held in honor of this rare event and it is recommended that we tune into the energies through prayer and mediation. On the west coast many of us will be sleeping so expect some powerful dreaming messages to come through during these hours. This 6th day of the pulse is about communication and the divinity or divine wind that flows through us when we remain open. Much is happening today that will be felt for many years to come. Although we may not understand what any of this means, now is the time to simply be with the energies and prepare for the download.

And now for something completely different. As the Moon moves into Aries, and Uranus stations direct, expect a big shift in the energies. The day-sign Kan is about new beginnings. It expresses a popcorn kind of energy, erratic and unpredictable like Uranus. It is about the future and this day will have us a bit overly energized in terms of where we want to go. There will be questions about our direction, with lots of ideas coming through. The eighth day takes us through the fourfold nature of reality. Today marks the helical rise of Venus and the new phase of Venus as Morning Star. The Morning Star aspect of Venus is one of the warrior. Depending on where you are and the visibility of the horizon, Venus will rise just before sunrise over the Eastern horizon. "Helical" rise means to rise with the Sun. According to Shamanic astrologer Daniel Giamario this is the date that Venus begins a new 584 day "synodic" or synodos, meaning meeting. It is the cyclical meeting of a planet to a given starting point as seen from the Earth, in this case Shamanic astrology will track the cycle of Venus from helical rise to helical rise. The Helical rise is the birth of the new Sun, an appropriate timing for this last day of the pulse of the PHOENIX.
