MONDAY APRIL 5

Tzolkin Cycle: 7 ETZNAB (Sword/Flint/Mirror) White/North

Full Moon: Libra 16 degrees (Sabian: "After a storm a boat landing stands in need of reconstruction")

Today's full moon in Libra falls on the 7th day of the Mayan 13 day pulse of EB. This is the pulse that clears the way for a precipitation of consciousness. Libra rules our 7th house of the "Other" and in the variance system of planets is ruled by Chiron. During this period we are being asked to open our minds to a greater, "Holographic," vision of reality. Chiron transits are what help us pull the pieces together that make us whole again. Chiron and the Centaurs make for planetary "Soul Retrieval." The seventh day in Mayan time is the fulcrum point. A day of merging past with future. Seven is the path to Heaven on Earth, and reminds us of the steps that lead us there. It is the rainbow bridge, or Antakarana. Etznab is the sword of truth, the blade that cuts through the illusion with precision and grace. The sword is also the scalpel of the surgeon that opens the wound to heal. When looked at in these ways one can see how 7 Etznab fits very nicely into the wounded healer archetype and the Centaur planet, Chiron. Like Chiron, and chiropractory, Etznab needs to pull things back into balance, to look into the mirror that sees both sides, and often on these days an adjustment is in order. Practice self restraint and by the end of this day when the moon makes an aspect to Chiron, we will be in a position to clearly know what challenges us and what we are being called upon to adjust, to heal and put back into balance.

TUESDAY 6 APRIL

Tzolkin Cycle: 8 CAUAC (Thunderstorm) Black/West

Mercury Retrograde 2 degrees Taurus (Sabian: "An Electrical Storm") Moon in Scorpio

Today is the eighth day of the pulse. It is the point where we get our "Integrity Check." It is about balance, harmony and seeing/sensing truth in all that matters. Cauac is the thunderstorm that brings with it chaos and confusion, creating the clear path or renewed innocence and purity needed to be fully empowered. This is the lightning bolt of realization. Violent and awesome in its power we are often asked to give what we've got, even if there seems to be nothing left. This month's Mercury retrograde cycle (April 6-30) will ask us to take some time to rethink anything we might have missed in our life (if we were too busy doing other things). The Sabian for this point also relates to Cauac and the storm of consciousness. Cauac can be a powerful manifestation energy that does not always play nice. If we have been on track with ourselves and our values, then this period will be a period of reassurance, if not then we will need to rethink our plans. Remember there is always a calm before and after the storm. Best to take cover and make your plans accordingly. As the Moon moves into Scorpio we will begin to feel the point at which this transformational process will unfold.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 7

Tzolkin Cycle: 9 AHAU (Sun/Ancestors) Yellow/South

Ahau is the Sun, which is the symbol for the Ancestors and Flower/ing. Kinich Ahau is the Mayan name given to the first fathers. It is the "sun-faced" and "sun-eyed" lord. It is the last glyph in the cycle of twenty, and therefore relates to ascension or evolution. This has to do with what has been experienced through all previous generations, the history/herstory of our culture. And we will feel that whatever has been worked on over the last cycle will come to completion. As the 13 day pulse moves to day 9, this completion will relate to all the greater cycles of time and fulfillment. It is best to look in all directions for the hidden knowledge. Nine is the number of gestation. This day of 9 Ahau will bring us to a deeper understanding as we reach toward a sense of the perfection of all things. The symbol Ahau also relates to the sunflower. The sunflower is a way to view our relationship as petals to the great central sun. Ahau, as the sun, is the giver and sustainer of life, and as the sun is also the receiver of messages that come from all points in the galaxy. These solar expressions or sunspots are perhaps one way that the Mayans were able to translate the power of the sun. We are asked to translate our own power into a new form, one that is understandable by all. Know that we are made up from the same stuff as our sun and all the stars. Watch the sunlight on the water and know that just as light, we are able to transfigure into new forms. Tomorrow this form will be newly emerging from primeval waters.

THURSDAY APRIL 8

Tzolkin Cycle: 10 IMIX (Turtle/Crocodile) Red/East

Moon in Sagittarius

Imix is the glyph that represents the new cycle of evolution. Turtle is the source, the beginning. The tenth day is about the manifestation of that primal energy. Today we are in the lunar cycle of the disseminating moon, a time to harvest the desires/intentions that we made during the new moon (March 20). In both the lunar and Mayan cycles this is about climax! The way this will be experienced is through the energies of the primal mother archetype, Imix, and the guidance of the Sagittarius moon. We are reaching for a higher truth and we will find it in the essence of our dear planet Earth. Imix is the cosmic mother. Her energies are connected to one of the stars within the belt of Orion, a star which our indigenous ancestors believed to be the "Cosmic egg." It is from this egg that the Earth was born. When we find ourselves in meditation and ritual to honor these cosmic and earthly forces we will bring to ourselves a deeper truth than has ever been known. Faith does not happen overnight, like the path of the turtle it is slow-moving, diligent and single minded. With Imix we are being asked to look deeper into that faith, deeper than any previous doctrine may have revealed. This is the end of the old way and the beginning of the new. Imix is about being reborn into the Tao, a state of mind (no-mind), starting over without expectations.

FRIDAY APRIL 9

Tzolkin Cycle: 11 IK (Wind) White/North

Ik is the whirlwind, the divine breath and the communicator of the Mayan daysigns. Ik is the first word that is spoken after the new birth. In the Cherokee calendar, the "Whirlwind" is the "Lord of the Dance," and the 13th bird that travels around the Pole Star. This is the 11th day and we are now asked to let go of what we had intended to manifest at the beginning of the pulse (March 30). If there is anything we were hanging onto, this day will bring change and disintegration of all those desires. The Moon moves past Pluto and aligns with the Galactic Center and by sunset we will get a sense of just what we are letting go; the depths of our desires and longings. A way of honoring this process would be to use our breath to recapitulate the past, to know that our out-breath is the letting go and our in-breath is the beginning of a new life. On this day it would be wise to strip ourselves of all that no longer serves. Breath out/Breath in, the complexity to the simplicity. This is the path of the Whirlwind that clears our way to freedom.

SATURDAY APRIL 10

Tzolkin Cycle: 12 AKBAL (Night/Hearth) Black/West

Moon in Capricorn

Akbal is the dreamer and the keeper of the cosmic home fires. This 12th day is a time of understanding our deep feeling nature and coming from that womb space with intelligence and strength. Akbal is a day of quiet and reserve, it is a soft and powerful energy that knows more than it is capable of expressing, a deep and hidden knowledge. This will be a day of understanding and connectiveness and we will feel a lot more now than can be shared with others. For most things of true value there are no words. It is good to allow for those deeper energies to be kindled. The moon moves into Capricorn and aligns with Saturn before the end of the day. This mutual reception of planets can be a lesson about being able to treat each other equally and the knowledge that is obtained from walking in someone else's shoes. Use the dreamtime as a way to help in understanding the keys to this knowledge. The galactic power associated with Akbal is the Orion Nebula (M42). This nebula is the cosmic nursery of new stars and is the fire in the hearth of the belt of Orion. Stir your inner fires and prepare for the birth of new ideas. Be prepared to confront any issues that come up with a deep understanding and desire for unification. Although this day may find us feeling a desire for connection and relatedness and openings to get there, it would be wise to keep words to a minimum. Listen. Learn the mastery of silence.

SUNDAY APRIL 11

Tzolkin Cycle: 13 KAN (Lizard/Seed) Yellow/South

Last quarter Moon in Capricorn 23 degrees

The last day of the pulse is about unseen forces. It is the ascension point and the wild card of the pulse. A time to just simply "be" with the energies. The less we try to make this day into anything the more we will connect to the powers that can truly make changes and those energies that are of a magical nature. This is the time of not trying, of being in no-time and a good day to find ourselves disconnected from clocks and things that limit our natural abilities. Kan is the lizard/dragon that relates to our natural life energies. Orgone, Dragon lines, all speak of the chi and life force energy that moves through our bodies and through the planet. Dragon lines are the balance between yin and yang. They are the mountains and the valleys. The galactic power of this glyph relates to Drago. The constellation Drago is the group of stars that weaves in and around the Little and Big Bear (Dipper). It would be a good day to meditate on those series of stars that move from 18 degrees Aries through to the Galactic Center at 27 Sagittarius, the dragon lines that weave their way through our physical environment and the life force that moves through our spine and physical body. Tomorrow will be the pulse of Chicchan, the celestial serpent, a 13 day period when these energies will be further enhanced. How do we manifest or recharge that life force energy in ourselves and how do we make the best use of it? Find yourself in a place that helps to build this energy and you will be well equipped throughout the next 13 days of incoming information.
